Try these steps:

  • Install/Re-install the latest version of Java 6 (Java 1.6) even if you have Java 7 (Java 1.7) installed.

  • If you're on 64-bit Windows, make sure to install BOTH the 32-bit AND 64-bit editions of Java.

  • Update your LWJGL files.

  • Re-download Magic Launcher.

  • If you're using the ".jar" version of Magic Launcher, try using the executable (".exe") version instead (or vice versa).

What the...? New error out of nowhere. Everything was working fine today, but all of a sudden when I tried to start the world up again just now:

Wrong mod version in Minecraft ( Minecraft 1.1 but mod 1.0 ) ? Or just an corrupted minecraft.jar ? Got it once , too . It was caused by an corrupted minecraft.jar . Backup yours and try an force update .

Checked everything, everything is 1.1. Tried force updating, still got the same error :/

Is there a simple way to resolve id conflicts between mods if it is not in their config files.
Preferably other than ID Resolver because that requires GuiAPI to be directly installed.


Edit: I'll just install GuiApi directly since it is also required for some other mods.
If life is unfair to everyone, then doesn't that make life fair?

Could you add the ability for the launcher to detect folder type mods in the mods folder? Like the portal gun mod.

Can you add option for mods that edits only files in folders?

For example this one shows "no mods detected", since it only edits something inside /net/minecraft folder, not the root.

This mod has the Minecraft class placed in the wrong folder.
The Magic Launcher can not know that folder "multishotmod-v1.6-[1.1.0]" is to be interpreted as "net/minecraft/client".

The skin check is internal and goes directly to the mojang servers.
The Magic Launcher can not change the player skin without installing another mod, which will be dependent on the minecraft version.

It works if you manually install it. Maybe add option "force install" or something that will override mod detection and copy everything to jar file anyway?

The CustomSpawner has to be installed as internal mod with "Add".

The MagicLauncher is not changing the minecraft.jar in any way.
It would work if the Minecraft.class is in the same folder as it is in minecraft.jar.

Do you have any idea what could be causing my NullPointer error, when the save was working fine before and I've even force updated with no results?

Found a solution to my sound problem (thanks for the help...ahem) Turns out if i install Optifine the sound plays fine, without it, it stutters like a S.O.B.

It means that the minecraft.class file has to be in the root of the mod's zip package rather than a sub-folder like multishotmod-v1.6-[1.1.0] where it currently is same folder as it is in the minecraft.jar file.

You can always extract the contents of that sub-folder and re-zip them so that those files are in the root of that appropriate folder of that new zip file. rather than any sub-folder.  When you view the contents of the zip file, the mod files need to be right there rather than any sub-folder.  Do that and it should work fine with Magic Launcher.

How does the prerequisite detection work, becuase I didn't see anything like that, other than that, great job. Runs realy nicely.
