Testing now!
Oh, look! 700th post.

Edit: after looking around it a bit, the UI is very nice.

Few feature requests:
- open the new launcher after closing Minecraft (or at least the choice to)
- run faster on slower computers (sadly, i can't use my computer :( )

Bug fixes:
- remember me to work
- this upon clicking setup:
The NullPointerException when clicking Setup is fixed in 0.8.1.
The rest of the features will be coming soon.

Very nice.

I don't like how close the X and - buttons are to the edge of the frame, but now I'm just being picky Posted Image

Edit: now this is getting rep too?

Edit 2: why. just why.

Edit 3: I don't even.

Awesome!

When I try to start Minecraft via this launcher it does nothing. The launcher closes but the game doesn't start. Is this feature not yet implemented or am I doing something wrong? The path to my minecraft.jar is correct.

You can go to Setup, select "Show Log" and click "Test".
Minecraft should start and in the log windows there should be some information.
If this does not work you can also go to "Options" and click "Show Log" to see the log info, then post it here.

That didn't work so here's my log:
You are using incompatible mods.
The OptiFine_HD_D3_AA is not compatible with your minecraft.jar. Maybe you are trying it with 1.1?
It should also say "incompatible" in the Mods table, column Status.

Correct but even when I load it without the mod (I deleted it) it still doesn't load up Minecraft..

The 0.8.2 fixes the starting classpath, maybe it will help.
If not post the error log again.

The launcher works like a charm , my only problem with it is that i can't allocate over 1200 mb to ram even if i have 5 gb . Also if allocating over 1200 nothing gets in the logs , the game simply doesn't start .

Bug found and fixed, it was the space in the startup classpath.
Version 0.8.3 should work for you.

the status for my mods in the external mods have "no ModLoader!" even though i do have it. Can you clarify why its giving me this and if there is a special location i'm supposed to put ModLoader.

I'm running mc 1.0.0 on a mac.

The launcher log (Setup -> Show Log) shows the error.

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.

The 32-bit Java is limited to 2000 MB. In reality the limit may be lower depending on memory usage. On my computer it is 1500 MB.
To allocate more memory you need 64-bit Java installed.
