Plaat throws at you a new series of CTM maps....

Have you been playing Minecraft today and popped up the question in your mind saying 'Man, I wish this could be harder... I haven't died nearly enough today.' With the difficulty of Vech's Super Hostile Series in mind, amongst other things, these maps are very difficult. As the main aim of the maps being to put pressure on the player, low amounts of resources and high intensity mob fighting are one of the many challenges you will face along the way of conquering these maps. These maps will also contain a large amount of spawners because the time it takes to mine spawners have been decreased.
It all boils down to 2 things in the end.
1) Survive
2) Find and Complete the Victory Shrine
The main objective of my maps are to find and complete the Victory Shrine. This is a structure with slots for you to place blocks on. To defeat the 'Endless', you must place all 16 colors of wool in each slot of the Victory Shrine. These wool must come from chests you find at the end of dungeons. In addition to the 16 wool blocks, 1 piece of bedrock is also required to complete the Shrine. The piece of bedrock is also found in a chest, usually in the furthest, most difficult area of the map.
Standard CTM Rules
1. Find and Complete the Victory Shrine
2. Find blocks for the Victory Shrine in chests scattered around the map, do not use spider string, sheep wool or dye.
3. Use at least Easy, never Peaceful
4. Do not leave the map boundaries and go into normally generated Minecraft terrain by leaving the bedrock encased area. Do not build a nether portal.
5. Survive in any way you can think of that do not violate the other rules mentioned. (Yes, you can mine, craft and place blocks)
6. You may use sheep wool or spider string for other NON Victory Shrine uses such as beds or paintings.
7. You are recommended not to use mods or Xray texture packs as they ruin the fun of the game.
8. I hate you, go die in a
Mods
I balance around vanilla Minecraft, and mods that impact the gameplay are technically cheating.
However, there are some mods which are fine to use:
- Minimaps (This may be changed in future updates, but in the current maps, all you can see in the minimap is the bedrock ceiling.)
- Mods that make Enderman not pick up blocks.
- Mods that don't affect gameplay. (Optifine, Graphical Tweaks, etc.)
Endless Difficulty Ratings
Easy - Technically a simple map, can be completed in less than 18 hours. Targeted to newbies for the CTM genre.
Normal - Difficult at some times, but not all the times. Average gameplay time is about 25 hours. Targeted for the majority of the CTM players.
Hard - Very hard, pressure is put on the player at all times. May take up 40 hours to complete. Targeted for the hardcore players.
ROMHack Hard - Insanely hard, the map may never be completed. Targeted for MLG pro Hardcore players.
Endless Map Types
Open World - You are free to explore any part of the map at will.
Linear-Branching - There is a specific path to follow, and several areas are usually connected by Intersections.
Linear - There is only one path to move towards.
Endless - A never ending map, usually consist characteristics of both Linear Branching and Open World maps.

The Sinister Caves
Difficulty : Hard
Map Type : Linear-Branching
Version : Not available
Download: Map is not ready yet, and is still under construction
This map is a underground cave system with several different cool areas as well as an entire forest underground... With insane amount of spawners placed in the map, this map focuses more on mob fighting in both enclosed and large areas. Will you ever complete the Victory Shrine?
