This map series is rather outdated. You should still be able to play them in current versions, but keep in mind that they where designed with Minecraft version 1.2 in mind, so don't expect a fine level of balance or any of the new features. But despite that, I'm sure they will still be some quick fun.
A fantastic Let's Play series by Anexes Minecraft, who is awesome by the way; you should subscribe!
Warrior's Disk is my attempt at a Complete the Monument (CTM) (Inspired by Vechs's super hostile series) series that not only tests you in your combat skills, but greets your eyes with beautiful and detailed environments to explore. The general game-play of the maps is to locate and retrieve the 11 enchanted 'Warrior's Disks' scattered across the map, hidden in hard to reach locations and dungeons, designed specifically to make you explode in a shower of torches, pork chops, and notched armour. The rules are all the same. Find all the disks in any way you can, return them to the monument and try not to die in the process.
Forlorn Gorge
Forlorn Gorge is my first (serious) attempt at a custom map and the first in the series.

It"s a rather quaint map (that's fancy way of saying it"s small) that won"t take more than a few hours to complete, but is still worth the download for the death defying (or rather death embracing) game-play and detailed and pretty environments (in my opinion at least). The Vagrant Isles
The Vagrant Isles is the second map in the series. The idea behind this map is a cross between SkyBlock and Super Hostile Legendary.

There will be no boring bridges: Ender pearls After playing SkyBlock, I felt that it was rather restricting and grindy. The was no real motivation for me to complete it; after I got the cobble generator going and had food. With that in mind I taught i'd see what would happen if i took some of the game-play elements for it and fuse it with a good old CTM. There are about 20 main islands all with some variation like, snow, sand, grass and stone. It also has an advanced and deadly transport system, so no boring filth bridges! Is this map more than one area? I think I might play it, and I like short & sweet, but might be underwhelmed if all the discs are in the same area, right near each other.

It is all based around the central area seen in the first screenshot, though there are a couple of other small ones. In my future maps i plan on making multiple areas. This map was mainly a test to see what i was capable of and what was fun, compared to grindy and boring.
It looks pretty good, although could you maybe post a little more info please?
What kind of info? I thought that I covered all that was necessary. I don't want to give the players instructions on what to do or anything. It's mostly free form. There are a bunch of dungeons to be conquer at your whim, and a big finale.
If you wouldn't mind, could you take a look at the "recording test" videos and tell me which quality is best? Your input will determine the quality of the Let's Play. Any input is GREATLY appreciated, don't be afraid to tell me what you honestly think of my commentating either. I'll also let you decide the tone of the Let's Play, as in, goofy, serious, ect, ect.

Well, it looks like minecraft decided
"That's a nice everything you've got there... it would be a shame if someone ****ING THREW IT IN ****ING SPACE! :3"
By the way, are there any rules to the map? Like certain block we can't break or places we can't go? ect. Or is it completely free form/do whatever to win?

I was actually surprised by your quality :smile.gif: you seem a good commentator and your video and audio quality is better than many successful youtubers, I think your going places fast. The third test vid had great quality (minus the background noise) and as for your style, I don't mind what you do. Whatever seems natural.

You can go enyware (exept the bedrock roof) and break anything. You will porobably need to.
A quick update for anybody who cares, i'm working on warrior's disk 02 and it's going to be a weird mutant baby of Super Hostile Legendary and Skyblock.
It will have about 20 islands most with a unique landscape, and obviously, they will be full of spawners and stuff. :smile.gif:

(I care) Rawr, yay mutant babies!
I've poked around a bit on WD#1 and it's quite visually appealing. From the looks of things, this is what you were going for so good job - you should be pleased with the results.
On your #2 map in progress: Floating islands can look real neat, but can approach the point of being tedious without the right transportation. In other words, building 1x1 bridges to each isn't exactly all that exciting. Given your commitment to unique landscape, will there also be creative ways to navigate between the islands? Or are you currently finding this to be a challenge to implement?

I plan on giving the player a double chest full of ender pearls for transport, as there will be skeletons on the islands, it will be hard to build a bridge to them. Also I really think ender pearls are under valued. Additionally i'll put some rails around the place, in other words, travel will be interesting enough (hopefully).

Oh, bugger. I was sure i'd done something like that, but that didn't even cross my mind as something to check. I'm silly :tongue.gif:
Also, thank's for adding me to your list!
Thank's! If you do a video it will get a feature on the first post, you seem like a good team of commentators.
