That's the point, and it's annoying how so much people don't get the point of the mod!

Judging from most of the replies you might want to put this in the OP:
This is not a magic bullet that lets your 15 year old PC play Minecraft and record at 60FPS. What it does do, is allow that 15 year old machine (assuming it has all the proper hardware requirements, such as the right GL extensions) to record very high quality cinematic shots. It does this by slowing the game down, to maintain a specified FPS. So if you set it to record at 60 FPS it will slow the world down so your CPU, harddrive, GPU and the rest of your computer can keep up with the game.
With Fraps, when the game starts lagging it drops frames (doesn't record them). This makes the recording more like a slideshow, because the game has progressed so far since the last frame. With this mod, when the game slows down the world slows down. This way when the next frame is taken the world hasn't changed much. This means even if you can only record at 1FPS you can still play back your videos at, say 120FPS. Obviously since the game is running so slowly (in that example it would take 2 minutes to record a single second of footage) you'll want to use a macro or something to control your character.
Yes, this means you can that epic cinematic fly through of your castle with Sonic Ethro's Unbelievable shaders and the reflective water shader mod at 120FPS on your AMD Phenom.

Add it to the video list if you want, I also use your mod to record all my cinematics, so check them out if you want.

- Install Soundflower. (This may require a restart)
- Record your video as per usual.
- When you're done open up System Preferences->Sound and change the output and input to Soundflower (2ch). (Keep your game opened!)
- Now go back to Minecraft and press Shift + F4 and wait for it to finish re-recording the sound.
- You should have a working capture.wav now, it may need an increase in volume, which can be done with any audio editing application (i.e. Audacity).
- Go back to the System Preferences->Sound and change the output and input back to your desired devices.
And there you go, you've got Minema sound on Mac.
Happy recording.

I achieved Depth of Field with Tiled Rendering!
The whole thing was taken at 10,200 X 6,400 (2,550 X 1,600 with 4X for AA) using Tiled rendering, then I used Optifine's fog options to create an effective Z-depth pass and this was the result (Re-exposed):

I modified the texture pack I used in the shot to make all the terrain completely black under the fog. Then I modified a single class file in Optifine's source to cause the fog to start at the exact space that the play entity occupies. Next, by setting the fog to fast, I created an inverted Z-depth pass (awful imgur compression mind you):

Then all I had to do was remove all the saturation (fog is a little blue) and invert it. After that I used a plugin in After Effects with the second pass, and I got the result.
This same technique could be used with a video, though it would have to be recorded with Camera Studio, or a Demo system if anyone ever makes one of those.
The upsides of using this are:
-DOF is MUCH better and the amount of blur is up to you, and can be changed during a video
-The Point of Focus isn't the middle of the screen (unless you want it to be of course) and can even change during a video
-Works with Tiled Rendering
EDIT:
Someone on Reddit asked me to simplify my process:
How to take a picture:
-Deside on the Texture pack
-Create a completely black version of the texture pack (as in every part of the texture pack is black, besides the transparent things such as parts of Glass and Tall Grass)
-Find a spot you like, then in the graphics menu in Minecraft, adjust the Rendering Distance and Fog Start Distance to something you like (If you don't know what "Fog Start Distance" is, go download Optifine.
-Take the picture at whatever resolution you want (Super large Tiled resolution provided by Minema, or Mineshot)
-Don't move or look around AT ALL, this will mess it up.
-Save and go to the title screen, change to the black version of your texture pack and go back into the game, don't move or look around yet
-In the graphics menu in Minecraft set the fog type to "Fast" and adjust the render distance to get the look you like (areas brightened by the fog will be considered the farther away)
-At this point you can also adjust the Fog Start, though I modified a class in Optifine to make it start literally right infront of the play, to allow for a more accurate Depth pass, You can download it here.
-Take the Depth pass (the second version of the image)
-From here, you don't have a "true" depth pass, what I did is take it into After Effects and apply to effects to it, "tint" and "invert"
-now you have a depth pass for your image, from here I used a plugin for After Effects called "Lenscare", which is easy to pirate (and I'd honestly hope you don't purchase it simply to complete this tutorial)
Regarding making a video, I haven't tried it yet, it's completely possible in theory as long as you used Camera Studio.
