This mod allows the player to climb vines. You can still walk through craning vines but you can't walk through vines that attach to a block. Vines work as ladders. You can use them as ladders to climb a tree to make it look more natural. Vines can also be used as growable ladders :D

This is great! Nice mod. Though can you make it so you can climb vines that are hanging, but it harder to control because you can just fall off. To make it seem like you are dangling.

Its perfect as is :) The only possible changes I could foresee you ever needing to make would be bringing in up to date with the 12w01a snapshot's new ladders, otherwise don't change a thing.

I just installed normally, though it may be that I play on a Bukkit server, not vanilla.

I'd like to be able to climb hanging vines. Maybe stand 'in' a vine (as if you're walking through it) and then hold space. Yes, your head would hit the block at the top, but then you'd just move backwards.
See that little box down the bottom right of this post? He's feeling sad, click on him and give him a tickle to make him happy! :)
