So, I was playing minecraft, and I was out exploring, pretty far from home, when the sun began to set.
I had no torches, or no light source for that matter. All I had was a sword, some raw food and some wool.
My first thought was "Oh sh*t, I'm going to get killed!". So I quickly began to build a small tent.
Still no light source. It turned darker and darker. Man, I was wishing I had a camp fire, for a light source and so that I could cook my food, in case I became hungry.
And that's when I decided to create this topic.

This mod would also be cool for adventure maps that make you go into forests.
There could be camps in these areas as well. You could also use Custom NPCs mod by Noppes to add people at these camps, such as traders, mercenaries, guards etc.
They could make some cool adventure maps.


Camp Fire Usage

Easily cook your Food while you're out exploring, without the need to carry around a heavy Furnace.

The Camp fire will light up, giving off the same light level as a Torch.

Right click on the camp fire, and it will pull up the same GUI as the Furnace.
You can only cook Food on the camp fire, as well as burn Wood to make Charcoal.

YOU CANNOT SMELT ORES ON A CAMP FIRE, THAT WOULD BE SILLY!


The camp fire can use the same fuels as a Furnace.

Once placed the camp fire cannot be picked back up, but can be broken into the materials used to craft it. Breaks into 3 sticks and two logs, so you cannot craft it over and over again.

Installation Instructions

1. Install ModLoader (Check the author's instructions for that)
2. Open your .minecraft folder (You should already know how to do this)
3. Drag the campfire zip into the mods folder (The mod folder will appear in your .minecraft once you install ModLoader, and run minecraft)

Maybe you could make so that when you pick it up it breaks into 3 sticks and 2 logs, instead of 1 stick and 3 logs, so that you can't just keep recrafting it again and again. Plus maybe you'd have to light it with a flint and tinder instead of it lighting up by itself.

Well, A tinderbox works with flint and steel, Tinders are like, Coal baked dry pieces of cloth, wich go up in flames when in touch with a spark, then when the tinder is on fire, you wrap dry thin pieces of wood/cloth/leves, anything thin that burns around it and lay it within your campfire. and nature does its thing; flames go up on the wood, wood burns, and you gotyerself a nice campfire

I don't really know to be honest. I just don't really like how Flint&Steel looks :/ .
But it's up to the coder, he picks if he wants a tinderbox or to just use Flint&Steel.

because then your flint and steel will be your light source just set a log on fire then go to bed and you wake up in 5 seconds

Sure , just to let you know , i don't think i will be able to post a video today , but please don't think i gave up.

It is Currently 8:17 am GMT and i have been coding for the last 8 hours i had brakes for food and air so lets say it was about 6 hours of just coding, I am pretty happy with what i managed to get done in those 6 hours . Here is a quick list because i love lists:

- Made the Campfire block (no model)
- Made the Tinderbox
- Made the Tinderbox Texture
- Started work on the GUI
- Started work on Particles
- Attempted to Integrate the model
- Updated this Thread 5 - 10 times
- Made the signature
- Drank 3 Energy Drinks
- Ate a HUGE box of rice kris pies
- Started work on a super secret feature (Is it an Achievement? )

I was hoping to do a few more hours of coding but I'm too tired that I'm constantly making mistakes so i though that there was no point because i wasn't getting any real work done.
I am going to sleep now so don't expect any updates for the next 6 - 8 (usually i get up around 4 pm after a night of coding).

Unfortunately i am not some EPIC coder (yet ) so if someone could link some guide to integrating models(.tcn) for blocks ( not mobs) i would be grateful. Never mind i was tired and i wasn't thinking straight i have it working now (kind of)
