Well, I just finished this map, and I have got to say, that was very epic. The world you've created is certainly the most memorable I've encountered in a Minecraft map so far, and the story was amazing as well. The variety of gameplay mechanics you used were also very well-thought out and original. The dialogue system seemed a bit confusing when you introduced it, however I got used to it after a while and recognized it for the stroke of genius that it was.

The music included blended very well into the environments, something I don't often see. look and the sounds of the music worked together so well, it was just fantastic!

I just finished your map, and I have to say, I was very impressed. The puzzles were all pretty cool, the redstone work was awesome, and the fights were challenging. The boss fight at the end was really epic as well. I can tell you put loads of work into this map and it shows, as the map is very detailed. I loved it, I got an average rating on the lapis blocks and my gold got me a rank 4.

Excellent map, I look forward to playing more maps from you in the future.

For anybody having the missing chunk near the start:

Thanks to Dark_Laser:

I have found a fix for the missing chunk next to the ship, first delete your bin folder in .minecraft, then launch minecraft to redownload, redownload the map using winrar, place map in saves folder in .minecraft, run minecraft, open the map and the hole should be gone, now you can install mods like SPC and TMI. I think the problem is that when mods are installed minecraft loads them as well and because it has more to load "forgets" that chunk. I don't know if this is true but it's just a guess. Hope this helps, great map by the way

May I suggest the use of the JohnSmith texture pack? The second image looks really odd, with the mash of colors, and JohnSmith would make it look quite nice!

YAY i cant wait to play it ill post my feedback once i finish it iv already got an idea for what to say because i know its gonna be awsome( one reason is you always bring in some new cool feature plus all the other ones)edit: damn one of my mods dont liek teh texture pack gonna have to redownload minecraft jar before playing edit 2: is there supposed to be a big cube shaped hole with awater near the botton claiming some of the redsotne? dont think so i cant proceed past the surpise in the cargo hold but up until then its been really good i found out 3 NEW FEATURES so far locked chests texture pack changes to guis so they fit in with story and signs that turn into other signs usng pistons

Here's what will be in the next update so far:

-Redstone will be better hidden

-The texture pack will have a couple tweaks for looks
.The suit will look better
.Mob spawners will blend into the walls
.Hopefully I can find a way to make unlit redstone invisible

-The characters will be expanded
.There will be more interactive "side" text giving more info on the characters

-"Easter Eggs" will be added

-All bugs will be fixed



Before the update comes out (which will take a while):

-A new version will be added (a less lag version)

-Following in the footsteps of Hero's Quest 3, a speedrun will be made

I found new pieces of music, so a mini-update is coming very soon with other music options in case one of the tracks gets too annoying.

Also, I am about to upload the first episode in my lets play series, where I pwn minecraft and fail at speaking. In the series, I am playing Vech's Hostile Trails 1, but I manage to rage more at my lack of speaking skills that the actual map itself.
