got some bug report and kind of suggestion...
1)log piles if harvested (I tried with an axe) drops nothing, 4 stacks of logs lost
2)I generated a world with structures an luckily found a village, surprise the village farmlands were empty and if right-clicked with seeds don't seems to do anything (nothing is planted but not yet tried to destroy and redo the farmlands) also haven't got time to control on your wiki but roads of villages are made of gravel (is it supposed to still exist?) farmlands are made of dirt normal mc dirt ID3 (again is it supposed to still exist?) and houses of normal mc cobble ID4(well you know what I want to write there... the planks are oak's)
also the village's forge had normal mc furnace (as far as I know they shouldn't exist)
3) with the instant leaves break is a real pain to obtain saplings... I got stuffed with unnecessary sticks, usually chopping a tree chops even the leaves! beware I'm not suggesting to make drop all the leaves like hand-breaked (that will be an excessive amount of sticks anyways, and if you want sticks you have to work) but make the leaves at least drop their saplings...
p.s. that village was in the desert so I even got 2 questions...
1) how to make glass from sand (is it still made from sand?)
2) sandstone have a better use or the main use is still making a nice floor?
Sinister, this mod gets rid of 'ores' as such instead there are different types of rock: http://tfcraft.wikis....com/Metallurgy
Here is a list of all the usefull types of rock ore, try and look for those with the prospecting pick
Nevermind that, there are ores you just have to look for them
@Maximo_Arturo -
1. I'll release a hotfix fixing this.
2. I haven't touched villages/abandoned mineshafts or strongholds yet. I will where applicable at a future date.
3. Beta 2 will have a solution for this.
4. I haven't gotten to glass making yet.
i have a bug: when mining smoothstone(in my case, dacite) instead of droping dacite, it drops an unamed item that can be used exactly like the smooth stone and has a damage value of 0 when NEI tells me it should have a damage of 16.
P.S. Really like the mod. I'm personaly a peaceful player, et think the game is a little too easy without monsters, so I always enjoy mods that make the game harder with neading mobs. Keep up the good work.

Our problem isn't that we can't find the "ores" it's that they never spawn in the game. EVER. and in NEI and TMI their ID's are undefined.

sooo if the normal furnaces can't be crafted and glass can't be made otherwise there's no legit mode to do it atm right?
edit: and it's Artorio...Arturo is my uncle's name... just Maximo or Max (or ctrl+c ctrl+v) will do... sorry for being so acid but... I like my name the way it is...
edit2: and by the way awesome geological mod!!! sorry if I didn't say it first post but was kind of concentrated on the list of things I wanted to tell
Well, I've tried this... and I am a little sad. Went to fire some wood for Charcoal, covered it up and went to go do other stuff, like deal with a cave-in in the cave I was trying to make my new home. So it's a bit later that I come out... the thing is gone. There's floating bits of earth and everything inside is just gone. No charcoal or anything. Did I need to keep an eye on it for 'the collapse' to gather charcoal or did something go wrong?
Did you make sure that it's installed correctly? That's what I see for most things like this around here.
Don't know if you've figured it out, but the charcoal's in the dead fire pit bro.
Also, how do you make support beams? I'm just kind of sitting around trying all sorts of recipes with logs and planks, but I can't seem to make anything.
By the way, this is a fantastic mod and it's already sucked a couple hours from my life. I suggest heightening the drop rate of the saplings, though. It seems like it takes me a couple minutes chopping at leaves to get three or so saplings.
You should deffinitly make a map(or make someone else do it) that goes through everything you will need to know about this mod so that people who are complete noobs like myself have a better chance of figuring it all out
looks super cool deffinitly checking it out

As the other person mentioned I am not sure if you figured this out but there was also a bug that you elude to that was fixed earlier today I believe, where the top dirt, if you did not have grass grow on it, can fall and crush the fireplace thus giving you a lot of diddly for your efforts. If the dirt fell and your fireplace is gone, that was a bug (update your code). If its still there, then your coal is in those four slots in the top right corner of the fire place

I actually have a very good map for this and I am considering starting a 'first steps' sort of video set for this.. The problem is I am stuck at my own knowledge at this time.. I have a steady wood/coal supply but need to figure out what to do next.. What makes my map nice so far though is I am on a sizeable island (3-4 chunk radius) in a swamp, with a Swamp River around two sides of me, two snow biomes visible and just a normal forest biome visible.. It just seems to be a nicely poised location
No fireplace. I rebuilt and there is grass this time... so... we'll see how it goes. Was also wonder what those slots were for. Thank you for the information.

Drop rate on saplings imho is pretty good. I average 2-4 per tree. Bioxx has also mentioned that in the future plans for the mod, he intends to have a tool required to get saplings, perhaps once that tool is implemented you will be able to get more quicker.

Glad to help.. I have a nice grass covered charcoal pit myself now, and two chests for holding logs waiting to be charcoals (yeah it takes almost all the logs from both chests to fill the charcoal pit! This is a setup though that I am wanting to showcase in a video, as soon as I get more information to make a video more useful
there are tons of squids spawning in my first (and only) world so far
I've seen squids in my snow biome, trapped under ice.

You know, if you remove the logs manually the pile disappears, right?

-.-...yes but I piled a lot of them and thought chop them off would have been a faster way to get the logs back...

Point taken. I see the value of this. I apologize for any thought of rudeness from my previous comment.
