Hey Swervish, I'd just like you to clarify something for me.
Can you go over in detail how you did that awesome stair mine in your first post? I really like it and would appreciate a reply. Thanks!
Wow! This is still going great, that's one of the things I love about this thread, you just keep going. Can't wait until you start building again, all that farming/shearing/mining is gonna take ages :/ Good luck :biggrin.gif:

I've been mining for about 2 straight weeks, just gathering resources to take on an epic project. I'm really glad I found this thread.
You're kicking major *butt* bro! As someone who has a full-time job and is of an older demographic, I can appreciate this more than most. (I played the original Pong when it first came out and was/am a Galaga Pro :smile.gif:)
I am truly impressed and I hope this thread inspires others to play more vanilla and take on a project that is large in scope, IN SURVIVAL AND SSP!!! SMP is good for socializing but I haven't found a vanilla server that feels like the true Minecraft experience. No Flying guys... geez...
Indeed, having a job is something rare and awesome. I, for example, merely study full-time and on the side work part time as a procurement manager for a major company, so I can hardly apreciate this as much as you can. But it was good that you pointed it out. Now rest of us know our inferiority in our capability to apreciate things.
Well, sure, you could be a ***** needlessly. Or you could realize that he's simply saying that as someone who has a full schedule he can appreciate how much time and effort it takes to complete a project of this magnitude.
Or you could, you know, be a *****. Whichever one really.
I've been to this castle and it's pretty big. Probably Ludwig II's most famous castle.
The only other of Ludwig II's castles that even compared to the size of this is Herrenchiemsee if my memory is correct. The walk to Herrenchiemsee was incredibly long, and then the actual building was HUGE. It might not be considered a castle though... Maybe a palace?
Anyway, this build is incredible. I just started a small server with some friends that will be completely legit(actually have 0 mods installed), and you have inspired me to step away from creative mode for a bit to see what I can do. I'll still work on other projects obviously, but I can at least hopefully get some planning done!
dude I just built this castle too! except I built it in creative and added a few of my own embellishments, like a fountain on the courtyard over the don jon wall, but other than that I followed the blueprints of the castle. great minds think alike I guess haha
How could you forget!?
Excellent progress! Love it.
