BETA 0.9 UP FOR DOWNLOAD

Have you ever calculated to yourself that all natural, carbon-based life is inferior, and that you want nothing more than to see its complete and total annihilation? Have you also calculated that natural things like grass, trees, and even stone are disgusting and unsanitary? That the world would be better if everything had a sleek, artificial surface with lots of flashy lights?

If so, you may be a robot.

The Robot Utopia texture pack brings the Minecraft world into the inevitable, post-post-apocalyptic future in which all squishy nature and life as we know it have long since been exterminated, and our glorious mechanical overlords have replaced it with their sleek, shiny artifice.

BEHOLD!!!

Posted Image

Grass is now rust! Millenia of weather will eventually have their toll on shiny metal...

Posted Image

Trees are antennae-like things...or...whatever structures they have. It's the future, who knows.

Posted Image

Creepers are nuclear-powered!

Posted Image

Even simple NPC huts look awesome.

Posted Image

The Nether. Pigmen are obsolete relics from the war on humanity.

Posted Image

The completed terrain.jpg.

A couple examples as to what this texture pack is capable of..

Woo, my first texture pack!

Now, as for the WIP part of this whole thing... The terrain.png and items are completely finished.
I am still working on the mobs, and that is where I have an issue, particularly with the enderman and spider textures, and I think most of you know what I am talking about. For those who don't, they glow white when I try to edit the eye textures. I have been searching around for solutions and nothing seems to be working for me.

I want to change the birch and pine colors, but apparently that is impossible as of right now.

Also, I want to edit the water, lava, portal and fire textures but I can't figure out how to do that. Oh, and the void/sky, if that is possible. Any suggestions?

When I'm finished the 16x textures, I want to work on 32x, to challenge myself and make it look even better.

Comments, criticism for my first texture pack?

It's not my type of style, other than that, I think that it looks amazing! I can tell you put quite a bit of effort into it!

Good job and keep up the good work! :D

Hmm... This is actually pretty good. I don't really like the pigmen though. You could make them fully robotic.
...But that's just my opinion.

Just a guess here... But the issue may lie in the fact that you completely erased the texture. Alternatively, it could be a scaling thing (Aka maybe MC doesen't support HD glow textures)

Have you tried making the biome textures completely white?

AFAIK You can change the color of the End sky (either tunnel.png or particlefield in misc), but not the Overworld sky/ and void.

As for Portal/water/fire/lava...
Go check this pack. Notice the "custom_water" etc textures. Can't help you anymore than that though.

This Packs looks cool, but it also lets the game look much blockier.

Will there be Better than wolves Support?

Thanks for the help! As for the spider and enderman eyes textures, you're right about my completely erasing the textures, that's my bad right there. I will fix that.

I don't really see how changing the biome textures completely white would help, but i'll try. And I will do the custom animated textures.

Thanks for all the help!

This has a really cool feel to it. I like what you did with the mobs so far. As for the endermen, Did you add transparency? I haven't worked with endermeneyes.png before but it seems like it should work. If not, it may not support HD textures I guess.

It would remove biome colors, which is what i assumed that you wanted.

Right well changing the biome colors to white does eliminate MOST biome colors, with the exception of the swamp biome. When the biome colors are all white, it turns into a lavender-y color. I guess that lavender is just kind of hardcoded in there. Stupid swamps.
