The Kindle Fire has access to the Android Market.
Though our government may be tight-fisted,
Its citizens are rather TWSSted.

No it doesn't. But it is possible to get it on there (I did, Minecraft runs very nicely.)
A proud Minecrafter since August 2010.

This. No Android Market, but if you have it installed on your phone, you can send the apk over to the Kindle, and it'll install just fine. I can also say that it runs great, fancy graphics and all.

I thought it did. Never mind, then.

So I assume that those of us without Android devices shouldn't expect to see it, then?

you do need that .apk file once you got it, use a file manager to open it, it should install
it looks the same like the phone just bigger.

THere is a lot of mixed answers here, so i'm going to give one that will hopefully clear things up.
Without Rooting the Kindle Fire, you can not get the full Android Market.
If you do get the Android Market on the Kindle Fire, then you are able to get the demo, and the full version through it.
You won't need to download an outdated .apk, as the android market recognises the app as compatible with the kindle fire...

Hopefully that cleared it up...

Okay guys, I have a kindle fire and Xperia play, you can't just copy the apk because the market validator would fail (It would need to check if you had bought it originally) so here, Android market for kindle fire: http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1351283 thats why I checked there was a way to get the market on the kindle fire before I bought it. (Kindle fire's OS is based off android)

The Market doesn't check on apps that are side-loaded manually. Copying the apk from another Android device will work fine. Since not everyone wants to root their Kindle, this is the easiest way. As others have said, and i just did last night, you MUST root the Kindle to install a working Market, and that's not a task suited for every user.

It's a fully functioning Android tablet, and it can run games like Angry Birds on it (not that it requires much), so it'll be natural for someone to ask...

Also, Minecraft wouldn't be able to, but Minecraft: PE, probably ;)

My Answer
It's there, if you can't find it I would reccomend one of four things:
1. Google 'Minecraft Pocket Edition v0.1.2 Apk cracked' (I didn't get great results for this, but I found a few ones.)
2. Search it on Youtube (That's where I found it.)
3. Go to 4shared.com and search 'Minecraft Pocket Edition Apk', making sure 'files' is selected (This is where the video showed to download it) and get v0.1.2
4. Root your Kindle Fire and buy it from the Android Market, this would be v0.1.3 and cost money, I haven't done it so can't tell you anything.  I'm waiting for the cracked version.

Make sure you check 'Allow Installation of Applitcations' on your device.
I am decent at Lua and Python, and am an expert with C, C+, HTML, Java, Javascript, and redstone.  Gotta love redstone.
