I got my server all up and running, and now I'm having a problem installing mods. I can't edit the minecraft server jar without getting an error. I tried WinRAR and 7zip. 7zip says"Not implemented." and WinRAR says "Corrupt Archive" :/  I've looked all over the web and can't seem to find any solution, however this seems to be a fairly common problem. Here's a video for further detail -
Help is greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.

-Edit: This is right after I booted my computer, so no Minecraft processes were running.

Have you tried extracting the files before you drag them into the Minecraft_server.jar?

Be sure to open Task Manager & close any java.exe processes.

make sure you are installing the SMP version of the mod, the regular single player version won't work in minecraft_server.jar

So I installed the Minecraft_Server.exe on a different computer and I still get the same error. Is this a problem with the program itself? Am I downloading it wrong? The server itself works great, I just cant edit the jar.

I fixed this.
His archive was corrupt, probably downloaded it when Minecraft.net was going up & down and missed a portion of files in the launcher.

Try deleting the META-INF folder in the .jar

people get mixed up with the .jar and the .exe! You want to download the jar version because the .exe version is protected yet the .jar version is modable! Hope this helped people from getting mixed up...
