Change version + Downgrade sound!
You can easily change between over 100 different version of Minecraft with a simple press of a button. Select a version from the drop-down list and click on change, MVC will then download a patch for that version and patch Minecraft for you!
Generate backups
Have mods installed that you don't want to lose? Then tick the generate backup checkbox to generate a backup of that the next time you change version.
Restore backups
You can easily restore a generated backup. All backups are multi-platform, so you can move a backup generated on Mac to Windows/Windows to Linux or Linux to Mac. The backups you generate can be restored as easy as you made them. Click on 'Restore/Delete Backup' select the backup you want to restore and BAM, you're back to the Minecraft you backed up.
Super fast server
MVC is taking advantage of Google's fast servers to ensure your patches are downloaded fast wherever you are located. (There's no cap on the download speed, but it depends on how fast your connection is)
Minecraft Version Changer is a down-/upgrader where you can change between over 100 different versions of Minecraft, with a single touch of a button. Minecraft Version Changer, also known as MVC, is packed with features and more to come.

Suspicious about the domain name?
I'm not from India, I am actually from Sweden. The only reason I chose a .in name was because it came with a free SSL certificate, and the domain itself was very cheap!
System requirements:
Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8
Mac OSX (Tested on OSX Lion/Mountain Lion, works on any version?)
Ubuntu (Tested on 12.04, works on any version?)
Debian Stable

Instructions:
The first time starting MVC, it'll generate a file called mvc.properties in the following directory:
Windows - %appdata%\TunkDesign\MVC
Macintosh -[USER_HOME]/Library/Application Support/TunkDesign/MVC
Linux - [USER_HOME]/TunkDesign/MVC
That file will contain settings for MVC, such as which patch server to use. Here's an example:
#Minecraft Version Changer - Settings #Tue Jul 17 14:12:09 CEST 2012 patch-server=1
You can chose between the following Patch servers:
1 = Server located in Chicago, Illinois, USA
2 = Server located in Wichita, Kansas, USA
3 = Server located in Gemünden, Germany
If you'd like to see what MVC does when you are using it, change debug to true and open the program by typing this into the CMD/Terminal:
java -jar MVC.jar
New as of MVC version 1.5_8
To change to a non-standard minecraft location, just add the following line to the properties file:
path=Followed by the path to your minecraft folder (Root folder).
Something to note about this, is that you'll need to use double backslash (\\) or a single forward slash (/), instead of a single backslash. (\)
Example:
#path=C:/Users/Anon/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/
Legality:
Some of you may question the legality of this. I am not redistributing the minecraft jar files. You can't change version if you don't have Minecraft previously installed on your computer. As said before, you can't just download MVC and think that you'll be able to play minecraft. MVC will only change the version of the file called minecraft.jar and nothing else, so you will therefore not be able to play Minecraft with just this program. I have contacted Mojang multiple times, and they have been aware of MVC more then 3 times, their response wasn't much, but as CyborgDragon said; "I take it as a "do what you will." If they ask me to take it down in the future, I will."
F.A.Q:
Q: It says "Minecraft not found. Please install Minecraft"
A: This question can have more then one answer.
Have you tried to delete your .minecraft folder and re-download it?
Didn't work? Scroll down and fill in the questions in a reply.
Q: Program freezes when pressing 'Change'!
A: That's because MVC is downloading the patch required to change version of Minecraft. Just wait for the program to unfreeze. (It's frozen a longer period for people with slow internet)
Also change patch server to a server closer to you for the maximum speed and shorter waiting period.
If that doesn't work, try disabling your antivirus/firewall or add an exception, then try to change version again.
Q: I didn't buy minecraft, can I change version?
A: No, you will not be able to change Minecraft version if you didn't buy the game.
Q: Can you help me? (I haven't bought the game)
A: No, I will not provide support to anyone who haven't bought the game.
Q: Can you help me? (I did buy Minecraft)
A: Sure, anything for you, just make sure you read the FAQ before asking something.
Q: How do I open MVC in debug mode?
A:Open the file called mvc.properties in the following directory:
Windows - %appdata%\TunkDesign\MVC
Macintosh -[USER_HOME]/Library/Application Support/TunkDesign/MVC
Linux - [USER_HOME]/TunkDesign/MVC
Change debug to true
Save and close
Open MVC in debug mode:
CD to the directory MVC is in and open the program by typing this into the CMD/Terminal:
java -jar MVC.jar
OR (Windows only(Save as .sh on a mac))
Open Notepad
Paste the above code into the text field
Click on File -> Save as
Save it as run.bat in the same directory as MVC
Double click the bat file.
Q: The program opens up as a zip/rar file and I can see the files, but not run the program.
A: That is because you installed something that opens .jar files as an archive instead of opening it with Java.
To fix this do the following.
Right click the program --> Open with --> Select Java™ Platform SE binary, and try again.
Q: I can't connect to the website! What do I do?! (This also includes the can't connect to server error)
A: This question can also have more then one answer. Try different web-browsers. Make sure that your ISP isn't blocking .in domains. Can you access http://lunarcp.com ? If not, please PM me your IP.
If the above didn't work please posts a reply with your error and include the following:
What Operating System do you use? (It's full name - Example: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. OR Mac OSX Mountain Lion 32-bit)
Do you have a premium minecraft account?
Where is your minecraft.jar located?
What version of MVC are you using?
Additional Information?
Open MVC in debug mode (See video) and paste the content inside spoiler tags.
Wan't to help?
Are you a Java programmer, and wan't to help me with things (Credits given)?
I currently need help with:
Version List auto updateWhich basically means, retrieving a specific minecraft version from an xml list, and getting information about the selected version.
Example XML:http://mcvc.in/list/McVersions.xml
Example:A user clicked on the Minecraft Demo, the program will now look through the XML file for the demo and insert the values into different Strings and or booleans. (String versionInformation = verinfo; etc.)
PM me if you wan't to help!
