Hello everyone! Direwolf20 here,
I'm about to start Season 3 of my Lets Play series using a bunch of minecraft mods. The first thing I want to do is a tutorial on how to install them, which I've done in video form! I'm linking that video to this forum thread for people to come and get the mods at.
Season 3 Config Files and world save as of Episode 1
Without further ado, heres the list of mods I'll be using.

01/29/2012 - Portal Gun v2 - Download Config File -- Or just change block ID's to 124 and 125.
02/01/2012 - Additional Buildcraft Objects, Default ID 200 is fine

02/16/2012 - Inventory Tweaks -- Remove ConvenientInventory.class from your Minecraft.Jar file (BACKUP!!!!!) and then install this mod by dropping the .zip into your mods folder.
02/21/2012 - Thermometer - IC2 addon - No block id's.

I've just uploaded a copy of my world (as of episode 20), and it includes all the config files for the mods. <NOTE> You still need to download the mods yourself. Launch Minecraft and you'll crash (You backed up right?)
You will probably have an ID conflict unless you disable Copper/Tin generation in forestry. Go into your minecraft folder: .minecraft\config\forestry\ -- edit the file base.conf using notepad -- Disable Copper/Tin setting Generate AND register to false -- see spoiler below (options may not be available unless you launched Minecraft and then crashed)

. Adding Optifine to the jar seemed to work fine. BACKUP!!!!!

Added Charging Bench -- Only 1 block ID, used blockChargingBench=175
Important Anytime you upgrade forge, you'll need to re-install the Minecart Compatibility Layer again AFTER you've updated forge.
IMPORTANT Anytime you want to mess with changing your mods around, you should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS backup your entire .minecraft folder. This way if you have problems you can roll back.
