and here I thought reducing the resolution too much would mean most tex packs end up looking the same.
This is rather nice.

I think I'll try this out once it's complete.

I can't wait to see what you'll do to things like the animated things like the fire and portals.

It doesn't really count as 8x if it's still a 16x terrain.png, does it?
On another note looks really nice, I didn't expect someone like you to create a simple pack, but it turned out beautiful.

Btw if it's actually on a 16x terrain, then I don't think you should have 8x in the title :)
Yes, I will release an 8x version too for download, but it wont look as good because many blocks will look weird and glitchy. :)

If it is 8x8, they pixels actualy look larger. Defeating the point of calling it 'Tiny Pixels'.
*shh!* >_>

Wait.. . It isn't REAL 8x?
If it isn't, PLEASE make it one, or remove "8x" from the title...
I can actually kill someone to take away all "Fake 8x" packs...
But this is so pretty D:
You can read what I said before.
But as this looks about 100% as an 8x pack I think you should be able to call it 8x. The only difference if it was actually 8x would be a worse looking world, a terrain file that's 128x 128 (wohoo!..) and possibly sliiiiiightly less lag.

After playing with this for a while, I have a few recommendations:

A slight hue change in Stone Bricks, they seem far too similar to cobble, can be hard to distinguish.
Breaking animation doesn't really fit too well, maybe make it start in the middle and go outwards in square?
For final stage wheat, increase the saturation so it's a brighter yellow/orange
Making iron greyer or browner? Looks too similar to gold atm I think.
Adding some vertical lines in wooden planks.

Other than that, beautiful. :)
Thanks for the feedback, I'll have those in mind. :)

I must probably give an explanation to this in the OP. :/ But this isn't my first simple texture pack, I made Leostereo's textures revamped a while ago, though I'm not all too happy about it.

Anyways, I'll probably make signs, boats and minecarts today, or at least as my nr. 1 priority.
Also, 3 pages in about half a day! :)

No, you shouldn't.
The whole point of the "[#X]" in the thread title is for the resolution.
Somebody comes in expecting an 8x8 resolution pack because 16x16s lag for them, no matter how nice the textures look, they're going to be dissapointed when the texture pack doesn't change their FPS.

Don't get me wrong, the textures are awesome but you shouldn't really use the wrong info in the thread title. It's misleading.

The best way is to add "(8x8 lookalike texture pack)" to the part where it says "It's tiny, cute and awesome" or something.

Okay, I'll add [8x, 16x] and release a true 8x version too.

Also, new stuff!

It really is neat though.
There's a bug however. You mixed up the pine and birch saplings.

For the signs, I suggest making the paper cover the whole front so text doesn't get cut off on the top and bottom text lines.

It looks weird, and I rarely use more than two rows on the sign. I might fix a customizer later, but I will have it like this as for the default.

Also, thanks for noticing the sapling, I always get those wrong.

I was actually going to do something like this at some point.
Mostly the way things like the vines are done.
Basically as a first texture pack thing.

Simple, angular and with minimal shading just to give it a bit of a kick.

Looks like you beat me to it :P

I'd offer to help but I have no idea if you want to do this alone or if my efforts would even match up to yours. (I can't stand complilation packs where none of the authors can keep things consistant)
Because I could take a stab at the items.png (but leave out the armour icons untily you make them)

Feel free to give anything a try and post it here. :) Just remember to use the colors from the terrain and keep it in my style.

I worked a bit on GUI today, here's the current progress.

Also, I will not make the items 8x, it's simply too small to even look slightly good.
