I know one person was having trouble running ServerVille on a Mac. Does anyone else have problems running it on a non Windows computer (even other Macs)?
How do i set the message when a person joins the server?
What do you mean? A custom message that displays when someone joins the server? If so, ServerVille can only do what the normal Minecraft server can do.
It is for a command that came with the Minecraft server 1.0.0. It gives the selected person the selected amount of xp as if they killed a monster for it.
I am having troubles with this. I tried starting it and the CMD window pops up and then disapears again. Can't figure out whats wrong. Any ideas?
So sorry for the late response, I didn't get an email notification. Anyway, how do you run it, just by double clicking on it? You could try running it through a batch file to try to see the errors.
I'm running MC ServerVIlle on my PC and it has been working great except now it keeps telling me that "could not create the Java Virtual machine"...i've tried reinstalling java, the server, and the program, but alas it would not work any suggestions?

First of all, does the server work without ServerVille? Also, try allocating more memory through ServerVille (probably 2GB). How much memory have you been allocating?

Not really nedded to add that. Just saying.
OT: This will be useful for new people, however I will continue to run a server manually.
By manually do you mean through command prompt?
It is always needed
