Welcome to the Texture Pack Central! This is a list of all user submitted texture packs. This list is updated generally once every week. The first post consists of all 8x Texture Packs and 16x Texture Packs, while as the second consists of all of the HD Texture Packs. The HD Texture Packs are in ascending order, whereas 32x is first, then 64x, etc.
Featured texture packs are chosen every month from a grossing texture pack or simply one that I believe should have more publicity, or a texture pack that is voted on greatly to be featured in the replies below. It can be any resolution texture pack as long as it has been submitted and added to this list.
When submitting a texture pack to this list, please keep in mind that you have to have ownership of the texture pack in order to submit it, otherwise it will be ignored. Also, a texture pack may not be submitted if it contains stolen textures, this also includes Painterly Packs and other mashups. X-Ray texture packs are immediately disqualified from being added to this list. Simple packs are generally not going to be added to the list either, unless they are exceptional. Texture packs that show an obvious disregard for work put into them will also be exempt from being eligible for addition. Submissions that do not follow the template fully will also be ignored.

1. Download either MC Patcher or OptiFine if installing an HD texture pack.
2. If you downloaded OptiFine, skip to step 2a, if not, run the .jar file and proceed to click "patch."
2a. Install OptiFine like any other mod by opening Minecraft.jar, and placing the .class files in.
3. Move the texture pack (do not extract it!) to ... and drop it in.
Windows: "C:/%User%/AppData/minecraft/texturepacks"
Mac OS X: "%User%/Library/Application Support/minecraft/texturepacks"
4. Open Minecraft, and on the main menu, click "Texture Packs" and select the designated texture pack."
HD Texture Packs
In order to use HD texture packs properly (32x and up) you will need to either patch your Minecraft using MC Patcher or using OptiFine. OptiFine is preferred as it includes all of the features of MC Patcher, and greatly increases game speeds and graphics settings. OptiFine is slow to update, while as MC Patcher updates same-day.
