You awake to be found with a terrible sight. You hear the cries of many and the crackle of the flames that surround you. You feel a kick and feel like you're plunging into pure darkness. You awake in a small shed that you have never seen before. Was that all a dream? Why don't you find out for yourself.

Here are notes that I took during gameplay:
Spoiler
This is a great map. You've obviously put a lot of work into it, and everything just seems to fit together. The story line is fun to play along with, the puzzles are challenging and never get boring, and the mob fighting and adventure that goes with the map is just wonderful, as well as the scoring system (Did you tell us to collect diamonds at the start? If not that's something you should put in)! I can't wait for map 2, I'm in 29.5/30!! 9.8/10
-208 diamonds
-Full Diamond Armour: CHECK
-Diamond Sword: CHECK
-Diamond Shovel: CHECK XD

The Whole Story is Great!!

the whole Idea of it!!
And the way that you put an Actual NPC without Mods Is Cool aswell.

Puzzles are good
If the start was sorted out, this would be a perfect map

Originality: Mostly a room by room killing procedure, and a few secret rooms. ehh..... i have seen this before. 2/5
Organization: This is a very neat and well put together map. the blown up town was confusing though. 4/5
Fun: Defiantly a lot of action that keeps me going! 5/5
Overall: A well structured Minecraft map until i got to (what i believe is) the end. 8/10

Seems like third time was the charm.. Played v1.6 again and got to the end, finally!
Lava does not like me, also got that bug where you end up at the start.. I did
backup the map files so I could get back!
Couple of notes:
used another, the first cart got caught in front of me and when I fell down that hole, I
died.. Had to re-start. May be a good idea to use a button to start that ride?
Sign from Kevin, there is spelling mistake, 'years' and 'explosion'
In nether, I could run along fences, do not know if this was allowed..
also I died when jumping where bridge was out, might of been good if there was a ladder back up as it took a while to die and I might of made it out
The underwater maze was challenging, until I found the signs
The end part was cool, was worried that it might blow up thou!
Found the easter egg also.
Enjoyed it a lot! Look forward to then next one.
I found 166 diamonds, so where a lot left!
Good luck with the next map, would be cool if there was some more fighting....
Anyhow for a rating, I give 9 out of 10. Was furstrated at begining, but everytime I was about to give up, I worked it out. So you have a good balance here.

Anyways, I managed to get 230 diamonds, the full diamond armour set minus the hat (well there was also a full diamond set in the smith's house, but I doubt that counts), the diamond shovel and sword, and I also found the easter egg. Also, just a tip; for future maps I suggest you put fewer diamonds in the chests for the score, because for me it ended up taking up 4 of my inventory slots, and with all the other extra goodies I was carrying, it was space I really didn't want to sacrifice. Really, we just need like 1 diamond for every chest or w/e we manage to find, and perhaps if it's a really well-hidden or difficult to reach chest, then you can put in a few more.
Anyways, still a great play through once again. I'd give it a score of 7/10; docked the 3 points mostly
because of the lack of an interesting story.

- Form:
I'm going to pick on a lot of details. There were 2 chests (one for minecarts at a middle-ish checkpoint room and one for boats before the water maze) that were left empty. Speaking of the water maze, if you're confident the player won't like something, probably don't add it but definitely don't tell them ahead of time that it's bad or evil or they'll just cheat. The checkpoint system is almost a great checkpoint system, but the locked door should be on the level side rather than the hub side so that the player doesn't need to ride the minecart to activate the checkpoint each time. And after all that riding, if you don't pay attention on the way back out, you get sent back to the hub because you used levers instead of buttons. The giants didn't spawn at all even though I hung out in that room for a couple minutes. The not lazy walking direction when the path splits seems to be impossible to get through. Starting off the map with about a half hour of maze and cave exploration is extermely unexciting. AND the map, especially the Pixel Art Minecraft Sign room, seems designed to cause gratuitous lag. These are all symptoms of the size of the map. You put a lot in, had a lot of different content, and that is good, but it leaves a lot of openings for bugs and issues to arise. I'm sure you'll be on better alert for such things when you put together the sequel you promised. If there's one thing I can credit you for, you managed to have inconsistent rules on breaking and placing blocks without me thinking about what the rules are, and everything worked. That's good player manipulation.
6/10
-Form:
The map looked pretty nice and had the texture pack to go with it (which from what I saw primary just made the glowstone bearable). The settings varied so that the player doesn't get bored of looking at it, and it all seemed very ordered and stylized except for the bombed town section. The pixel art was random, but it was a nice little touch.
7/10
- Flavor:
As stated, the title is hardly related to the map, but I don't blame you because the story is a little unrelated to itself. You started off trying to escape from GLaDOS knock-off 1200 (which you could have just gotten out of the minecart after the first room and said "hey, I escaped!") and by half-way through the map, S.H.R.O.U.D. (I'll give you 3 points if you can tell me what that stands for and have it make sense) is uninvolved and is just repeatedly mentioned by each NPC as you organize the pumpkin family reunion picnic. Somewhere in there, you decide you need to destroy the robot, so you go to the nether to say hi to pumpkin Dad who tells you to forget about that and go build a house in a quaint village for fun. And inbetween you do a bunch of puzzles that just happen to be there. When people are saying the story is confusing, it's for good reason. For your next map, try and have clearer player motivation.
Take the 3 flavor points, good sir. (for telling him what S.H.R.O.U.D. Stands for)
(2+3=)5/10
Uniqueness:
Almost no uniqueness at all. Even the fun little pixel art was screaming out with referential humor. It's not as though you were shamelessly trying to rip off something successful, but it also didn't manage to do anything new. Not to mention it starts off as portal and ends with "Still Alive." Therefore -
Side comment: If you have any interest at all in making a serious project with a story, do not troll the player. Things like "should you break this white wool" or the big pixel art trollface may seem cute and humorous, but it makes you seem intentionally irritating and makes issues like the checkpoints that send you back if your not paying attention seem intentional. Those things are perfectly appropriate for certain maps, but not a long, serious, story-driven adventure.
Overall Score- 18/30 and (that's 5/10 for your thread list. Completely middle of the road.)
Would I recommend it?
- Not really. It's an impressive build that I'm sure took a lot of effort, but it's not any more fun than many other maps, and for it's long time duration, it doesn't give too much sense of accomplishment.

Fun: 8
Story: 8
Creativity: 9
Ingenuity: 8
Difficulty: 6
Total: 39/50 (7.8/10)
Total Play Time: ~2 hours, 40 minutes.
Notes: So much awesome hidden stuff! The world is huge! Story is good. A tad difficult at times. Beds weren't saving properly. Dying in lava was sucky. A few typos here and there. But the amount of work that went into this map was amazing! It is very highly detailed and will marvel you when you see it. I can't wait for the sequel! Definitely one of the best maps I've ever played!
I had a lot of fun playing your map! I really honestly can't wait to see more from you. You are very very talented

5 I'm sure you used to make bad adventure maps, but you will soon take an arrow to the knee
6 Your on your way to stardom!
7 You have cut down most competition!

9 You have recieved the class of amazing!!!
10 Best.. Adventure.. Map... ever...
STORY:
You're some dude with gold armor.. like a king? And then you commit suicide! Game over!!! Or is it?
No, some stalker saved your life... Well at least your still OHMYGODSANTAZOMBIE!
LENGTH:
Enough to keep you entertained...
VISUALS:
With the texture pack... they're demanding... but the map itself looks completely stunning and natural. Even the maze was made okay by the texture pack.
CHALLENGE:
I'd say for anyone who can handle a zombie attack. Can you?
RECOMMENDED FOR:
Anyone really. If you have some spare time on your hands, go for it!
PROS:
The Checkpoint System. The Food System. The Organization. Everything.
CONS:
I got stuck after a "Kevin" I think his name was...
RATING:
9/10 You have amazed me. The only thing stopping you from a diamond was the one con. Sorry man!

Aesthetics - The aesthetics in the map were very good. The glowstone pieces that ensured no mobs would spawn were cool, the Maze of Death was well designed (along with the signs), and the lava and stone brick did a nice number on me as well. Overall, you have a nice touch with aesthetics and hints of puzzle involved. 5 points
Mechanics - I don't remember seeing any bugs. 5 points
Final Notes - This map was a very original and I highly recommend it for everyone. You will be amazed by it.
Final Score - 15 points. A+

Map: Beginning of The End
Creativity: 8/10 - It was a pretty creative map, I have played nothing like it before, but some of the level designs are a little over used but they were still fun!
Looks/Builds: 8/10 - Builds were pretty nice and creative, I really like the part where you fly over the rain cloud, I have never seen that before it was really nice! All of the rooms and temples where you go in through the minecarts looked awesome too! Nice job!
Difficulty: 6.5/10 - The map was not that difficult, Some parkour parts and mob fighting parts also the caverns were hard which is great, the rest of the map was pretty easy
Story: 6.5/10 - Overall the story wasn't that bad, it was just really confusing where to go and their wasn't much personality to the characters. Dialogue was pretty funny though xD
FINAL SCORE - 7.3
Final thoughts: I had a lot of fun playing this map, but some things need to be changed 1. Maybe more direction on where to go, it was really confusing in some parts. 2. Command block chat spamming. You should put a couple repeaters after each block of text (each command block) because the command block's text sent 5 messages at once and was hard to figure out where the first text was. 3. There were a few spelling mistakes in notes, but none were major. Annnnddd.... That's it! Hope you found this review helpful
