Terraria. MY OPINIONS: Spiral Knights was SHIT! I completly hated the game as soon as I played it. I hate the fighting system, I hate how ugly the armor looks. I hate everything in the game.

To be honest, I've never been one for either games. I play Mostly Assassin's Creed 2, Minecraft, and Team Fortress 2. I didn't even pay for Terraria, a friend gifted it to me through Steam trade.

EDIT- I'd still choose Terraria though, Spiral Knights was worse than Total Miner

Terraria is a really great sandbox game and I prefer it over spiral knights, the whole graphic system of spiral knights looks annoying and childish so it put me off, and the fact that it's hard to understand where to go made it not fun to play.

Spiral Knights? Never played it, and with Ryukuyu's opinion, never will.

(FYI Your going to get biased answers, minecraft shares the same genre as terraria, and isn't an MMO like minecraft, however Spiral Knights isn't a sandbox game, and is an MMO)

Terraria? Eh, I think it's a bit ahead of spiral knights.

Spiral knights is a ok game, with a great idea. The economy in it is messed up badly, however.

I don't really like Spiral Knights for several reasons:
A) It's hard to communicate with team members because the chat isn't very visible.
B) The game lacks a LOT when you start out.
C) Randomized dungeons can be a pain in the ass.
D) Idiots in your team leave you waiting for 10 minutes at the lift, then leave.

All in all, Spiral Knights SUCKS. ಠ_ಠ

Well, people compare it to minecraft, even though the only similarity is building

First of all, DON'T NECRO.

Second, @Above, people can compare them a little, but not able to base things on the comparison, terraria is a sand box game inspired by minecraft, therefor does hold a few similarities.

I know, they have some stuff in common, but people think it's just a 2D clone of minecraft

I liked the idea of spiral knights but I do feel the execution of it and how it plays is what the issue is, plus the use of energy forcing people to pay to play more than an hour or two.

I'm going to necro this :D  Anyways, Terraria is a Sandbox game. Spiral Knights is MMO. You can't compare them. But both have great combat systems, pleasing graphics, and are very colorful. Both make you rage when you die! Terraria and Spiral Knights both have awesome Music, but I like Spiral Knights more, for one defining factor. As of the Missions update, Spiral Knights has a story. Like, a backstory, and you can have friends with you to learn the story of the game as you progress and become more affiliated with the game. Terraria has the Wall of Flesh at most as it's only lore. Both have a system of exploration- Terraria gets biomes, Spiral Knights gets the Arcade. Both have Toughnut Bosses. Terraria = Skeletron Prime, Spiral Knights has Darkfire Vanaduke/Lord Vanaduke. Both have unlockable content. Terraria = Bunny. Spiral Knights = Operation Crimson Hammer. Both have endgame material. Terraria = Hardmode, Spiral Knights = Shadow Lairs. Both have Non Playable Character Vendors! Terraria = Merchant, Arms Dealer, ?Demolitioner?, Wizard, Engineer, Goblin Tinkerer. Spiral Knights = Bechamel, Brinks, Greave, Kozma, Kragen, Punch, Quillon, Ricasso, Vatel, Vise, Sullivan,  Estavio, Hector, Gracken, Nonna, Basil, Echo, Daxen, Remi, Izola, Jorin, Achillus, Sylvin, Walkon, and Zebulon. Whew! Both have additional Modifiers to weapons and gear! Terraria = Prefixes, Spiral Knights = Unique Variants. Both have little add-ons. Terraria = Accessories, Spiral Knights = Trinkets. Both have Crafting Sources. Terraria = Crafting Bench, Demon Altar, Anvil, etc. Spiral Knights has Alchemy Machines, Sanctuary Machines, Vise's Anvil. Oh dear. I've said too much already. Quick, the Wall of Text and Necro Police have found me again! Up and Away!

Terraria, Better weps, more customizable and while it isn't free. When you pay you arent limited to how long you can go on it.

Protip though. Backup Terraria saves regularly. Terraria corrupted my worlds a couple of times D:

Agreed. Once you own and play both you realize this. Terraria is for fighting and Minecraft is for building.

Its basically like saying "Well, Justin Bieber and Metallica are the same. They're both music!"
