[1.0] Fatigue Mod With Disable Hunger V1.6
This version was made for and works with Minecraft 1.0
This is a mod for minecraft 1.0 that allows the player to toggle hunger on and off as well as a new feature - fatigue.
Watch the video or read below to see what fatigue is about.
Video:
====== what this mod does ========
Adds option to disable hunger.
Adds option to disable the double tap run.
Adds option to toggle an easy and hard fatigue mode.
Adds option to toggle stacking of food.
Makes the shift key a sprint button: you must bind sneak to some other key to use it!
If hunger is off, food heals life again except Rotten flesh and raw chicken randomly apply slowness and zero energy to you.
If fatigue mode is on, use potion of swiftness to get unlimited energy for a time.
Fatigue:
Adds a blue bar around where the hunger bar would be.
The blue bar depletes as the player sprints.
Sprint jumping takes a lot of energy.
If the blue bar runs out, the palyer is tired and walks slower for a period of time.
blue bar builds as player walks or stands still.
standing still builds bar faster.
Hardcore Fatigue (builds off of normal mode):
Jumping, Digging, Swimming, Attacking, and using the bow all take energy.
When tired, the player cant do any of the above.
======= if you want to customize how fatigue works ======
Place fatigue_options.txt in your .minecraft folder.
Think of your fatigue level as a number that counts up as you get tired and counts down as you rest.
Edit any of the number values in there to what you want.
Run the game.
If you make changes, you need to restart the game.

Ahhh... :sad.gif: Is there any chance that you will make your mod OptiFine compatible? :unsure.gif:
I'm not sure how to do that. It's weird though because none of their modified classes have the same name as mine. Maybe you would have better luck than me.
If anyone knows anything about modloader and getting that to change existing class code, let me know. As far as I know, that can't be done with modloader. If I were just adding new things to the game (like new blocks or items), I could probably use modloader and have everything be compatible, but I think because I'm changing core code, I cant use it.
What? Are you really sure? I bet that the ki.class and lp.class files are both in your mod and in OptiFine...
Yeah try extracting mine into an empty folder and then extract theirs - you shouldn't have to replace anything. However... maybe i downloaded the wrong thing?
One minor thing about the fatigue mod that I had questions on...
once im out of fatigue, I wait 2 seconds and my bar is 90% full again instantly..is that a bug? can I stop that from happening and let it naturally regen?
Fatigue regen is way too fast for my liking, any way I can slow it down?
Ehm... Yes probably you downloaded the wrong thing becouse as I said the ki.class and the lp.class files are both in your mod and in OptiFine, that's why it conflicts I guess, becouse one mod overwrites parts of the other. :wink.gif:
oops. yep... i got the wrong one. Yeah it looks like their options classes are conflicting with mine. Unless you dont want any options to toggle stuff, I cant really do anything about that.

So I'm thinking about making the mod produce a fatigue config file to allow users to set their own fatigue settings.
What you are seeing isn't a bug. The mod fatigue values might not be set optimally though. When you get tired and then stand still, you are supposed to get un-tired much faster than if you weren't standing still. However I think standing still makes you take longer to get somewhere compared to if you were moving and tired.
OR maybe you think there should be a visual way to tell how close you are to being un-tired? I haven't thought about that. Maybe I'll add a new graphic to show that the bar is re-growing but you are in a tired state.
Holy crap, this is just what I have been wanting for ages. Replacing hunger with fatigue and adding a SHIFT sprint key. I have crouch binded to control. :3
Does it work?
Well, I installed it. Now the camera wont work, and minecraft seems to be stuck. I will reinstall :3
Reinstalled, still can't move view. After half a second minecraft sticks again. It doesn't freeze, I can turn it off normally. I just can't move the camera and the fraps FPS counter sticks too.
EDIT: I am using Randomobs, maybe that is the conflict?
EDIT2: Later I will try installing this mod THEN adding randomobs/mcpatcher.
EDIT3: Yep, it works, and it works well. Now i will see what happens when I patch it

Could you add a option for item stacking? Game gets too easy with that when you don't have hunger.
My mod uses the options.txt in the .minecraft folder. You can change things there too.
I think I will add an option in the options.txt to turn stacking off.
Thanks!
Added an option to allow/disallow food stacking - just like in the ol' 1.7 days.
I just tried it... doesn't look like it - sorry. Unless I missed some extra installation step, I just got a black screen.
I'm not sure how to do that. It's weird though because none of their modified classes have the same name as mine. Maybe you would have better luck than me.

We can't, I tested on my server. It will only change the HUD, but you still have hunger.

Sure, no problem. I wish I could fix the conflicts somehow.
