An adventure/puzzle map by pokeranger (me) & Afrotermin8tr (IamDaBrainz)
You are an aspiring professor who has come to study the Mallowelf Monument located in the town of Bright Hills. The Monument is said to hold the key to untold riches and treasure, but is also protected. Will you be able to assemble the Monument and unlock its secrets?
This is an adventure map that Afrotermin8tr and I have been working on for the past month or so. It involves the titular "Mallowelf Monument", a extravagant portal that is said to be the key to untold riches. However, the monument has been broken into 5 pieces that are scattered across Minecraftia. Each piece is sealed away in unique dungeons containing either fighting sections, puzzle rooms, or both. We put quite a bit of effort into this map, so please enjoy it and let us know how you like it!
Rules:
You can place blocks given to you in chests
You cannot destory blocks, except for gravel and blocks you placed
Do not play on Peaceful
Only take one row of items from a checkpoint per life
You can place torches
You cannot rob dispensers
Hey, just finished playing your map,
First off I want to rate this as 4.5 (out of 5)
Second I have to say that this is a great map, and you deserve more recognition
Third,
the 1.1.0 room didn't explode properly and I stumbled upon Westburn before hitting the pyramid, also the Dr.'s house burned down due to his fireplace.
I can't wait for part two,
:smile.gif: I really did enjoy this
How to Install:
1. Download the map to a place that you will remember (Downloads folder, Dekstop, wherever)
2. Unzip or Unrar the file using your archiver of choice (WinRAR, 7Zip, etc).
3. Copy the folder that was unzipped, unrared, etc., and navigate to your Minecraft saves folder:
If you're running Windows, your saves are located here:
Press the Windows Key and R at the same time. In this dialogue type (or copy and paste) the following
%appdata%\.minecraft\saves
If you're running on a Mac, your saves are located here:
/Users/*username*/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves/
If you're running Linux, your saves are located here:
`/.minecraft/saves
4. Paste the folder.
5. Play Minecraft with your new map!
The tutorial was taken from the pinned "New to the Maps forum?..." thread by Delirious_Doctor. There is a video explaining the install process on that thread, and it applies to any normal adventure map, not just this one.
If you enjoy the map, please leave a comment giving your opinions or suggestions. If you make a Let's Play or review, please let me know!
It seems I failed and missed a major bug in the map that allows you to cheat easily. The download has been fixed, please ensure that you re-download the map.

For Note 7, the TNT won't always blow up the entire blockage. You may need to break it yourself. Note 5 is in the tent outside the giant pyramid, it's not hard to miss if you used the map.

Nether Portals will need to be lit with Flint and Steel to activate, you don't pour grape juice on them...
really? I guess I need to find flint and steel :biggrin.gif:, never knew that. thanks!
