   [1.2.3] Snowball Fights Mod (V SSP 2.0, SMP Beta)   



Annoyed of having your snowballs deal no damage? Want snow golems to deal damage. Let nothing stand in the way of your mighty snow golem army, with the Snowball Fights Mod! Another practical use might be  I know this is a shorter thread, but this is also a simpler mod!

To make it simpler (for you kewsi!): This mod adds in snowball damage.

Recent Updates in Version 3.0:
- Updated to 1.2.3
- Added Nerfed Version (download coming in a sec)

PC:
- Download the Mod from the link above (middle of the page)
- Open the Run application and type %appdata% into it and click OK
- open up .minecraft
- open up .bin
- open minecraft.jar with WinRAR or 7zip
- add the aah class file you downloaded to this directory
- delete META-INF. If you can not find it, you probably have already deleted it from another mod you have downloaded before

Mac:
- Download the Mod from the link above (middle of the page)
- Open up Finder window
- Go to your user thing (I think it usually has a home icon), if you're not there already, and open up the Library folder
- open the Application Support folder
- open up .minecraft
- open up .bin
- rename minecraft.jar to minecraft.jar.zip (select OK if it asks you if you're sure you want to do the .zip thing), and unzip minecraft.jar.zip
- this should create a folder called minecraft.jar. Open it up.
- add the aah class file you downloaded to this directory
- delete META-INF. If you can not find it, you probably have already deleted it from another mod you have downloaded before

SMP Beta

I'm new to the SMP mods, but I'm pretty sure this is how you install mods on multiplayer servers

1. Download Snowball Fights SMP Beta
2. I'm not completely sure if the client has to download the client version of Snowball Fights SSP?
3. Add the files to minecraft_server.jar
4. Delete META-INF? Not sure please tell me if works!
5. Start your server (and tell me if you are running a server for the list below)
6. Report bugs in Beta version on this thread!

By reading the top post, one with a even a moderately low level IQ could guess that it makes snowballs do damage.

Yes but one is not meant to infer what a mod does. Mods should have detailed descriptions for ease of understanding.

Yes but one shouldn't have to analyze a mod post because the post-er should post specific details in order to get people to download it.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will add a more PRECISE description, and almost done with SMP. I agree with you, snowball fights with damage with your friends will be a ton of fun!

Now thats organized mod thread.

Even with your really simple (but good and clever)
You will get more posts than better mods with unorganized topics.

I would install the mod but I like to keep my minecraft either vanilla or full with mods.
Also maybe add other types of snowballs which do more damage, no damage, more knockback, grow trees and so on.

Thanks for the replies everybody! I think I will try to do a ModLoader version of this mod where it adds different types of snowballs!
