I won Minecraft.

I went in, and realized that I was in a dungeon. However, this dungeon was much larger than normal, and also had a portal located in the center. The portal was not purple like I expected it to be, but a bright shade of blue.
I stood in the portal and experienced the normal screen warping effects. But rather than entering the Nether, I saw an "Updating Minecraft" screen. It was taking a lot longer than normal, so I opened Wireshark to see what was going on. The game file was being downloaded in 1MB chunks, each from a different IP address.
After 30 minutes, the game finally finished updating. I came out in a pitch black room with no portal to go back. I placed some torches, and got my bearings. The room was a 7 by 7 square, 3 blocks high. The walls were made of smooth stone, so I decided I must be underground. On one side was a large chest, and a minecart track ran across the other side. I opened the chest and discovered a full set of tools, which were not made of one of the usual elements, but a strange deep midnight blue compound that glowed faintly. I hit the side of the room with the pickaxe, and, to my surprise, it crumbled instantly. I then moved toward the minecart track. There was a minecart on the left end, but the right end was blocked by a door, made of the blue substance. There was a button next to the door, which I pressed. The door opened, and the minecraft began to move, seemingly under its own power.
I jumped in the minecart, which started ascending up a slope in a brightly lit tunnel. Next to the tunnel were elaborate scenes, made out of cubes that couldn't be more than a centimeter in size. The scenes were:
- An empty Minecraft Classic single player map.
- Another single player map, but this one had a huge castle built on it.
- A volcano made of dirt, with several small rudimentary houses aside it.
- Two castles made of adminium; one was decorated with green and the other with blue.
- Another large Minecraft Classic map with a lot of stuff built in it; this one had a small area in the corner walled off with white cloth.
After passing the last scene, I heard a loud explosion. I looked back and it had been demolished.
I reached the surface. The first thing I noticed was a player with the default skin floating in front of me. A large fireball of an unknown source hit the player, who screamed, crashed to the ground, and disappeared. After calming myself down I decided to look around.
The first thing I noticed was the block textures. They were not blocky, but realistic--they looked better than any HD texture pack I had ever seen. There was a gravel path in front of me that led into the forest. I followed it; an entire day and night passed before I reached an open area.
The path kept going. On my right I saw a waterfall--it was not a regular water column, but a thundering torrent, complete with splashing water particle effects. After walking another day through the savannah, I saw a large building off in the distance. I reached it, and there was a sign in front of me that read
Temple of the Sun
The temple was built of what appeared to be concrete, supported with columns of bronze. I went inside and found myself in a seven sided room. Each wall had a window into an exhibit, like you might find in the reptile building at a zoo. Every exhibit had a different creature inside.
Most of them were just pacing around their cages, but the creeper was quite happy to see me. It went through an access door in the back of its cage, which someone had carelessly left open. It came through another door and walked up to me. It stood in front of me and tilted its head to the side, like a dog might do to beg for attention. I thought it might want something, so I dropped some random items from my inventory onto the ground. It took my compass, a book, and a piece of pork. Then, it gave me several blocks of TNT, and went outside and ran off into the distance.
I continued following the path, and then I found another building similar to the first. The sign read "Temple of the Darkness", and the building was made of obsidian and another substance that was shiny like iron, but dark gray. Inside, it looked just like the first temple, but there were different animals in the cages:
-A zombie pigman
At that moment there was some sort of earthquake, and parts of the temple ceiling fell to the ground. All of the glass in the cages shattered, and all seven mobs were soon attacking me. I blocked the doors using cobblestone I had brought with me, then built a pillar up to what was left of the ceiling. I started dropping blocks of TNT into the chamber below. The player picked some of them up, then placed them around the room and detonated them. The zombie and spider were killed in the blast. The other pieces of TNT remained on the ground. The ghast shot a fireball at the zombie pigman, but hit the TNT instead, which exploded and killed them both. The only remaining creatures were a slime, a skeleton, and the player. The player killed the skeleton with a sword, and started attacking the slime. After it split into smaller slimes, one of them climbed some steps I hadn't noticed before and ended up on the roof with me. The player wandered around for a little while, as if it was looking for mobs that hadn't been killed yet. Then, it found some TNT in the corner of the room which had not been detonated yet. It started placing them and blowing them up, but accidentally got too close to one and killed itself. The slime next to me started bouncing up and down and made a noise that sounded like a human giggling. I continued on the gravel path, followed by my new friend.
The path gained a lot of elevation, and soon I was on top of a mountain. Then, I saw fireballs coming from the sky. I looked up and saw a monster that appeared to be a dragon. I was sure I was going to die, but then the creeper I had met earlier appeared. It started jumping up and down, as if it wanted something. I walked toward it, and it jumped on my head, then continued jumping. When the dragon flew near me to drop a fireball, the creeper exploded, killing itself as well as the dragon. My smile friend giggled again.
I walked a bit more and reached a cliff. I wasn't sure what to do, then I saw the yellow text "Notch joined the game" appear on the left side of the screen. Notch appeared right in front of me, and said "Well done, my friend." He gave me a golden apple, then left.
I heard Bobby Yarsulik's Minecraft song play. At the end of the song, my screen slowly faded to black, then the game exited. I reopened it and tried to return to the world I was just playing on, but got an error when I tried to load it. I looked in the world folder, and it was empty.

That looked time consuming to write.

I want to fly; can you take me far away? Give me star to reach for, tell me what it takes, and I'll go so high... I'll go so high! My feet won't touch the ground. Stitch my wings and pull the strings. I bought these dreams that all fall down.
