How do you create a world that's in LAN instead of Internet.
I don't want random people coming on my server and destroy it. + I want it to like survival mode.
Im used the search bar but I didn't get any results.
Thanks in advance.

Do you want to run the server on a LAN between several computers? That's really easy to do, but make sure you're not just overlooking single player mode.

Grab your server software, I use hMod (hey0) but you can use just the normal server.jar for a more survival-like experience. Put it all in a folder and run your server program. You'll need your local IP, try Start > Run (or search-bar) > cmd.exe and type in 'ipconfig', press enter and you'll get something like 192.168.0.x in one of the boxes. Put this into the SMP server screen and away you go!

You shouldn't have to configure forwarding on a local network, but I might be mistaken. Hopefully this helps!

Cyan is correct, since you are on a lan you dont need to worry about ports and all that nonsense, also unless you publish your IP on these forums or a server list, greifers wont know your ip to connect to it.
