Extruder

About:
The Extruder travels forward mining any block in front and laying a sequence of blocks behind.
This is great for building bridges and tunnels, there are nine slots in the sequencer for blocks which the extruder will repeat until it runs out of fuel. Blocks mined will be stored and can be accessed in it's GUI.

Right click to access the Extruder GUI.
Left click to start or stop the Extruder.

Fuel:
You need to fuel to extruder for it to work, place any fuel item from the list below in to the topmost slot. One fuel unit is consumed per tick plus 350 fuel units for every block mined plus 200 fuel units for every block extruded. Different fuel also can boost the speed of the extruder.

Stick = 75 fu (very slow speed)
Coal = 1600 fu (slow speed)
Redstone	= 2400 fu (fast speed)
Lava bucket	= 8600 fu (normal speed)
Blazerod	= 10000 fu (normal speed)
Magma Cream = 15000 fu (very fast speed)

All of this is customisable in the config file.

Tip: You can place obsidian inside the sequence to shorten the pattern, when the it reaches an obsidian block in the sequence it will jump back to the first slot, hence you can easily make repeating patterns. Here's how to make a red, blue, red, blue repeating pattern:
[ Red ] [ Blue ] [ Obsidian ] [ Empty ] [ Empty ] [ Empty ] [ Empty ] [ Empty ] [ Empty ]

Great idea, been needing one of these for me and my friends server.

Question: When mining does it destroy the blocks or keep them? Like ores and stuff?

It's a nice idea, but I think realistically it should use a bit more redstone power for mining. Perhaps 2 or even 3 redstone dust.

When it mines it doesn't drop a block, mainly because entities in the extruders path can block, its also to reduce lag.
I may make mining more expensive, lets see what other people think.

I've updated the main post with how.
It's a piston and a dispenser.

Perhaps in a future update the extruder will collect mined blocks and will use them towards
your pattern if possible.

Love this mod. But there is a render problem when it mines stuff. If it deletes a block it is still visible until you update blocks around it also lets you see the caves underground. I hope you can fix this in a future update :)

You make move when trigger by a redstone signal, that way, you can start them as the same time, or maybe a build in frequency and another transmitter block. I'm doing a mod review if you don't mind.

I though about that but most cases you want to launch them separately. For example laying a floor before you lay track or drilling a tunnel before you lay torches.

What I would like to do is get it working with buildcraft teleport pipes so you can supply it more materials and/or send drilled materials somewhere else.

Let me know when you've finished the review so I can add it to the op.

Great mod, but what if it had a second inventory for the blocks it has mined?
