This Mod will allow you to put a piece or pieces of Rotten Flesh into a furnace and cook it. The outcome is Leather so you now have a proper use for Rotten Flesh.

To Install:
Open you minecraft_server.jar in Winrar and put the class file in.

There is a read me in there on how to install the mod.

Please leave feedback!

People wont have to install it them selves like other SMP Mods. It only needs the minecraft_server.jar to have the class file for all to use!

You do not need mod loader.

If anyone can make a review or a video of this Mod please do, I need one. If you do, the first person to do so will get first access to later versions of the Mod.

There is a single player version of this Mod.

Cool! But you need to make something that we can use the leather for. Like create a custom recipe for a saddle or make an item. Leather isn't very useful...

make a saddle be craftabl like this

L L L
L I L
I . I

. empty
i iron
l leather

there a ssp mod that allows that recipe.

just throwing ideas out here. softer obsidian. mineable bedrock. bedrock tools and armour same as dmnd but with more durability and make bedrock mineable at 15 secs. possibly add vinyl made from

L L
L L

then add music disc craftability
V V V
V dye V
V V V

V vinyl

for all discs based on their color dye except for the gold one and the one with multi colors like the ying yang one
for those ones do:

d1 d1 d1
d1 .. d2
d2 d2 d2

d1 dye 1
d2 dye 2
.. empty

corresponding to their respective colors and it creating a ying yang dye that can be used in the center of the basic disc crafting recipe then for gold disc:

G G G
G D G
G G G

D any disc
G gold block

again just throwing some random ideas out :D

LOL? The operative word in the post was 'survival' and in my opinion when you are just starting out leather armor is better than no armor amirite?

Warning: this mod is incompatable with Forge, and will cause an instant crash upon placing rotten flesh in a furnace with fuel in it/already burning. But can it be made compatable?

If the creator also makes a ModLoader version, which I do recommend he does

Not to jack your thread or mod. I loved this mod so much that I met the demand and re-made this mod to be used with ModloaderMP. This, of course, includes SMP support to smelt rotten flesh into leather. I also went and added the recipe for the saddle from marcus13345 from leather and iron ingots in pattern:
XXX
XIX
IOI

where X = leather and I = iron ingots and O = empty.

Even though I went and made my own mod from scrap I won't release it without permission from SBK_x_SiiLeNcE.

My version is also compatible with Forge as it is only one file as mod_RottenLeather

Tell me what you think :)

Dude. This is the best mod ever. :)

Combined with mo creatures, now leather is reasonably easy to get (such shitty armour material shouldn't be hard to find.) :D Not only do I have a use for all this crappy rotten flesh I get, but I can also get more leather for armour :iapprove:

That's a shame too. It sucks that there is no official modding API yet and people are modifying the game's base files. That leads to superfluous amounts of incompatibilities. Modloader and Forge are very useful.

This is actually one of the easiest mods to make too, lol
