If you like my maps and/or want me to continue making TL maps, please put a +1 under the first post. I will never ask for donations. Feel free to post a comment, LPs, screenshots, or reviews to the thread page. I am very friendly and will do my best to respond to each post.
Ever get tired of the same minecraft custom maps? Are you looking for something different?
Then you're in the right place! After playing numerous custom maps and watching the direction of forum activity, I decided that I wanted to create something different - maps that would present a challenge to any minecraft skill level in different ways. Whether it be traversing across vast landscapes, solving puzzles, or fighting mobs, map elements will be difficult and require careful thinking.
The main objective of Twisted Logic is to find and complete the note room, which is composed of 11 music discs, 4 ore blocks, and a mastery cactus. Although I use a CTM endgame, I incorporate survival, puzzle, and adventure elements to create a hybrid [HYB] gametype. There is much more to discover and experience that cannot be fully explained in this introduction. There simply aren't any other maps like these.
If you like exploring unique environments, thinking critically, and being fully pulled into minecraft, you will really enjoy these maps. There is so much to do in these maps and things to discover. They were a pleasure to make and test, and I'm sure that you will enjoy the experience! And yes, there are still massive updates to come.
Twisted Logic Standard Rules:
1. Find and complete the note room. The ore blocks may be found or crafted.
2. Play on easy, normal, or hard. Never on peaceful.
3. Play on survival, not creative.
4. Do not fly, spawn items, x-ray, or use god mode. Play vanilla minecraft. Mods that don't drastically change gameplay are fine (e.g. Clear water mod).
5. Do not use music discs from skeletons, creepers, or any other mobs.
Too bad creeper, it's against the rules
6. Do not leave the boundaries of the map.
7. Survive in any way you can (You can mine, craft, and place blocks). Think before you act.
8. Have fun and good luck!
For the most part, Twisted Logic is like vanilla minecraft, except much harder with an end goal to work towards. Here is an excerpt from CTM central founder z_bill:
"[Twisted Logic] started as a survival/CTM hybrid and has evolved into the best exploration and story based CTM maps. All about experimentation, you find interesting, fun things around every corner. They are absolutely filled to the brim with inventiveness, and there are tons of great secrets buried."
z_bill couldn't have said it better. I strive to make Twisted Logic unique and unusual, pushing the envelope further with every map. These maps are generally difficult, but not impossible.
Twisted Logic Difficulty Ratings:
Easy - Designed for those new to Twisted Logic and the CTM genre. Resources will be abundant and puzzles easy to solve. Mob spawn rate will be low.
Normal - Designed for those familiar with Twisted Logic and the CTM genre. Resources will be limited and puzzles will be tricker. Mob spawn rate will be normal.
Hard - Designed for Twisted Logic and CTM veterans. Resources will be scarce and puzzles will unforgiving. Mob spawn rate will be high.
Twisted - The cut below impossible. The specific determinations will come in time.
The Goal of Twisted Logic is to complete the note room by placing 11 music discs, 4 ore blocks, and a mastery cactus. Ore blocks may be found or crafted. There are light indicators in the note room to notify when a specific record is placed. Once the note room is completed, the map is finished! Although, there may be some secrets left hidden on the map...
These aren't just MCedit or SPC mashed maps meant to emulate Vechs or others - these maps are truly unique, both in design and function. I have put tons of hours thinking, building, testing, and listening to the community to create a different experience and fun minecraft maps. I guarantee these maps will provide hours of fun gameplay, even if at times they seem a bit difficult. There are no blind traps or impossible puzzles. If there is anything else I can do, please let me know.
Want to be awesome and host Twisted Logic? Well, look no further!
Minecraft already has great music by C418, which I enjoy very much, but sometimes you need a change of pace. I love dance and electronic music, and I prepared a 3+ hour mixes for my map. It's completely free and hosted by Youtube so you'll not need to download anything!
Last year I had my own radio show and DJed from time to time so I like to think I have some good taste in music, but I am always open to new artists/bands. I listen to almost everything, but I prefer trance and progressive house. I usually listen to these playlists when I design and play the map.
Don't forget to support CTM Central!
Like my maps and want to give something back? I don't accept donations, so either a nice comment or a +1 on the first post would be great! Thanks!

Current version: 1.3 Release Date: May 24, 2012 Size: 38.0MB
In Moon II, the player is a test subject in the ATC training facility. While Smith (a administrator at ATC) contends the course is just a simulation to test skills and abilities, it seems the corporation has much bigger plans in mind.

Twisted Logic Redstone is the beginning of a large tutorial course on everything CTM. Eventually it will feature content for both players and map makers. Note on phases:
Phase 1 - Redstone Tutorial

Phase 3 - Recreation of Prominent Redstone Traps/Devices
Phase 4 - CTM Map Making (Worldedit and other)
Phase 5 - CTM Survival
Phase 6 - CTM Playstyle/strategy
Twisted Logic History 01 - Moon
Current Version: 1.3 Release Date: October 8, 2011 Size: 2.0 MB
Moon was the very first map I made. It is reminiscent of a hardcore version of skyblock. Although it was made before Anvil was introduced, this map feels bigger than it is. How will you react when you lose your footing?
Pictures:
Twisted Logic History 02 - The Bridge
Current Version: 1.2 Release Date: October 28, 2011 Size: 4.0 MB
Soon thereafter completing Moon, I built the Bridge. The Bridge is a unique looking map. It houses three distinct environments with plenty of secrets to be found. The Bridge was my most popular map before I started the Twisted Logic Series.

Twisted Logic History 03 - Power Hour
Current Version: 1.3 Size: 2.0MB Release Date: December 2nd, 2011
Power Hour is the third map I released. It is based on the idea that the player has one hour (kept by a giant clock) to complete the note room before the entire compound goes to hell. This map has a lot of potential in an expanded version.
Once again, awesome! Keep up the good work, the screenshots look amazing!
btw do you use single player commands or mcedit to make your maps? What would you recommend? I've tried making some maps but nothing to your scale.
Thanks! I'm glad your enjoying TL so far. It's always nice to hear positive feedback after the work I've put into these maps.
In terms of your question, I use SPC, GUI spawner, and Zombes to make my maps. I've tried to use MCedit a longgggg time ago without success. I'm not sure if it's because I use a mac or I wasn't patient enough, but either way I'm reluctant to change. Here are the DL links for the three I use:
I hope this helps! I'll eventually host a video or give a tutorial on how to build these maps, but in the meantime you should check out those links if you haven't seen them before
Ive used the first two but haven't tried the third yet. Release that video sooner than later ok?
Maybe! I just got a new Mac Air and I want to test what it can do (so we'll see :smile.gif:). But don't be surprised if it takes a couple of weeks, I want to get Power Hour out and finalize the first three maps a bit further. Thanks for the interest!
Ahh! You are making them too fast. I have not been able to play moon recently, and it seems that I'll finish it when you release #5. if I may ask, why is Moon now #3? I thought it was 1. Anyway, keep up the good work, you are doing awesome, and this rate of maps is amazing.

Haha thanks :laugh.gif: I just reordered the maps to make some direction in difficulty. After I release TL #5 today, I'm going to try to revamp several aspects of moon and the bridge. Thanks again for the videos and I hope you continue to make them!
Yes and yes! (I'm glad you recognized green hill). Since most of the maps are very difficult, I wanted to make an easier map for newer players to have a fair shot. And in terms of Moon and The Bridge, their map design is fine, I just want to make several small tweaks and perhaps add an SMP version. So we'll see :smile.gif:
Twisted Logic #04 - Power Hour - will be released in two hours!
Thought I should mention, the banner still links to the old thread.
:/ damn, I checked like 10 times to make sure it worked and I still messed that up. Thanks, I fixed the link. Oh and btw, there is a surprise for you at the beginning of Moon (referencing the very first video you posted) :biggrin.gif:
Yes, the only rules are that you must play on easy, normal, or hard survival mode and don't use any mods/x-ray texture packs to gain an advantage. Other than that anything else is allowed. You can break, blow up, whatever. There might be ways to outsmart me and the map!
