Got it, You should make a "dragon mo creatures" so to speak. (as before dont know much about modding dont get mad) Add 5-6 new dragons with new minor abilities, SUCH AS:
Frost drake that does a frost breath that can freeze water on contact but does little damage.
Fire Dragon uses a fire breath that can breath fire but that can catch trees and such on fire!
A common drake?: Maybe no powers but is a good first mount.
Basicly copy ender dragon codes do some resizing and minor remodeling here and there then Retextures, (id suggest asking for help from fans for that

), For new dragons.
Phew, lots of requests. If I really want to have more types of dragons, they need to have more than just minor skin/model changes and different types of fire. And then, again, look at my post on the top of this page
For now, I want this mod to be as lightweight as possible, so I can easily switch between any upcoming APIs, official or not. And to avoid introducing tons of bugs

As for breeding, the codes in minecraft already but since you dont know how to make dragons walk maybe make it a requirement that they fly while "mating" Kinda like a book i read called Hearts Blood or somthing
Breeding would certainly an interesting feature, but with the eggs as a compact transport
device, it would start to feel more and more like Pokemon

BUT things like maybe an ability to stop and hover (like the animal bikes ender dragon) should be added. But i love the smoothness of your mod. the Animal bikes seems a little jerky when turning. Also, you've broken the bottle of my interest and i need to go look at mod tuts, ima learn modding to help. (will probably take a while

)
Abilities like hovering requires a different type of control. Right now, you could use your bow or any other weapons or tools while riding, thanks to the indirect "fly where you look" principle.
I think it can be changed so the controls of the player are actually controlling the dragon, but then you won't be able to interact with the player anymore, of course.
I still need to do more experiments to decide which one is better.

This is an AMAZING looking mod, so I downloaded. I got on the dragon well enough, (nice touch on the explosion propeling you up, by the way) however, whenever my dragon comes into contact with ANYTHING at all, be it blocks, mobs, or even another dragon, it freezes and I have to dismount, but I just fall and the dragon stays, suspended in mid-air. Is this a bug, or is this just me?
Hm, that's strange indeed. They should freeze only when touching any surrounding blocks. But usually, you can just look up to continue flying.
