You sir are very inspiring, you know that? I am colour-blind too with light colours (e.g. light blue and white), reds and greens (and things in between) and you have inspired me to not care and go ahead and make a texture pack (I initially wanted to but I felt I would get a load of hate for wrongly coloured textures :P) just due to the sheer awesomeness of you're textures. The only thing I can say is the wooden planks should be changed a little bit, but hey what do I know XD. I will definitely download this when it is ready. As for a name I dunno I was thinking that it would suit the whole 'there's more than it seems' sort of style (maybe unknown something?).

Best of luck with your texture pack,
Raa

:D Thanks! And I think you should definitely go for it, especially if your colour-blindness only lies with greens+reds, I often have some major issues with blues/blue-grays+purples; and many artists use a 'purple shading' method :S

I can improve the wooden planks, sure, but I can't particularly see what's wrong with them myself, although i guess they could be considered a little 'sharp' - you got any ideas for the wood then?

EDIT: There's also two different styles, so which one? or both? :P

Anyway, best of luck to your texturepack, I highly recommend this thread, it's got tonnes of information, very helpful :3

oh yeah have you edited the nether yet?
Yeah, as in; glowstone (though I'm not 100% about it's textures), netherrack, and nether-brick (not sure about netherbrick textures either)...are very-much complete, particularly the netherrack, which I think I will keep - although I don't have custom fire/lava, 'shrooms, or a [proper] soul-sand, but I'm getting there...

Oh I didn't see the dark horizontal/second style... I was going to say that the first one was a bit too light to match the logs but the second one is perfect. I also have to say that the second style is quite a unique texture, it is bold (not too bold don't worry XD) and has a look that's easy on the eyes. In my opinion it's great :D.

Keep up the good work,
Raa

Oh yeah and thanks for the link :D

Cheers, and looking forward to your pack, could be interesting...maybe a colour-blind user could end up dominating the texturepack forum? :P

No-one seems to be noticing that newer version of the planks, maybe I need to include pics of some of the alts (i.e. just the wood atm) available...not right now, though, I feel tired/lazy :3

Y'know, would be more helpful if those disliking the pack (as I can see quite a lot in the poll), could actually comment on why they don't like it :Skeleton:

Currently working on a large update, mainly on textures that have currently not even been attempted yet; hence, I will be quite busy

...if you've got suggestions, it's best to suggest them NOW - else, I might miss them!

To the OP... I think it would be a nice experiment if you made a variant of the TP so all of us can "see through your eyes"

Errr...How would I make that?
If I'm colour-blind, and try to make a pack with colours that I would see in colours that are seen differently otherwise, then how would I know I'm using a colour that makes the colours I see as the other colour convey said colour

..wait, what?
I'm confused.

Does this mean you've made a texture-pack? If so, I wanna see :D

Thanks, I've tried my best with this pack, feedback is rather mixed, but glad you like it!

Looks like you've made a good start, when's the release?

EDIT:
Status update: completed a stonebricks texture, currently spicin' up my own dirt, rather than the crap I currently have there; also, testing out different tree-leaves.

Pics will arrive only upon request, else I know I'll go overboard with the pics :iapprove:

I like the feel of this pack. Some textures need some sharpening up like, like the glowstone and ores, but all in all, I like it. Keep it up. =)

Thanks mate, and I agree with you completely, the glowstone (both of them (I made two)) doesn't 'fit in', may redo the texture; as for the ores, think I'll be doing them again also...I'll start after I sleep (3amFTW).

Also, edited a previous bump on page 2, now showing an image of a possible stonebrick texture (unedited, think of it as the 'raw' look atm).

(to everyone) PS. If you don't like something, shout it out! comment what you don't like - I'll get right to it when I next can :)

EDIT: Added ores to poll, having notices several complaints about them, but lapis is excluded from the vote, I'm working on a new look for it completely.

bye peeps, for some few hours.

I like the stone brick. It's what bricks are supposed to be and that is bricks. Very nice.
