I'm a little new to these forums, and I've poked around a bit and haven't found a similar problem and I felt that I should post a topic about this. I apologize if I seem like a dumbass, like I said I'm new here and don't know too much about these forums. Anyway...

Recently, I've downloaded the BioTerrain Mod and the Controller Bloc mod and installed them (As far as I know) correctly, via following the instructions on the topic in the BioTerrain Mod. I looked around a bit, and I think this is where I screwed up, I opened each of the files around the Minecraft.Jar, removing each META-INF folder that I found. I closed the .zip folders and ran Minecraft, only to receive this error after a bit of lag once the login was complete.

	  Minecraft has crashed!
	  ----------------------

Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

Does anyone have any possible solutions, maybe something I did wrong? Any information would be highly appreciated.

NEW: Added the extra mod I had downloaded. Also, it turns out that I can no longer use the online version of Minecraft, either.

Okay, this is going to be my only bump on this, because I urgently need help. I've had 21 views, and yet not a single reply. Not even an unhelpful one. I just need a simple solution, and I would rather not re-install Minecraft. Can anyone please help me? If you need more information, please, simply ask.
Hai.

My guess if you have broken the Minecraft.jar file.
Simple solution, delete %appdata%/.minecraft/bin
Then reinstall, this should not delete your world files so you should lose nothing.

Just delete the version file if you want it to re-update. If the mods continue to refuse to work you either: A. did something wrong, or b. they're probably outdated, everytime the game is updated every mod breaks because they use obfuscated code and basically overwrite the legit class files, problem with that is everytime Notch changes something, all these files shift around a bit.
That one dragon coding thingy.

arright, if you open minecraft with any archiver thing like winrar, delete every last file, and also delete the world you would use the mod on. For example, I wanted to use 303's arrow thing on world 2, and the game kept crashing or black screening' in that world, so I checked the other worlds, and they were perfectly fine. Delete that world and you should be good. Also, I'm led to believe that 303's arrow mod is outdated, which is why it won't work for minecraft beta. If I get anything else, I'll be sure to tell you

Have a nice day

Uhh, have you made sure that the META-INF folder is deleted? And, when your adding the .class files into the minecraft.jar archive, Minecraft is closed?

Can't read? He just said that. I'm having the same problem though. I am downloading Mo' Creeps and Weirdos at the moment. I am supposively doing everything correctly. However, I notice that when I transfer the properties and the folders over, they transfer over as jar/rar files changing from notepad. I am thinking that is the problem but I don't know how to change the files. And when I don't delete the META-INF file it black screens and I can leave the screen. When I do delete it, it still black screens, but laggs bad when I exit it. PLOXKAT
