This is the second map in a series
Part I - Here
Part III - Here

Year 1934

You are an FBI agent sent into the little town called Calmere to investigate recent dissapearances in the area, little do you know that the town itself has other plans with you...

The map and the story are largely influenced by H.P.Lovecraft's books.

Here's a warning: This is not a normal adventure map, it relies heavily on roleplaying and living into the story so cold blooded fighters may be dissapointed.

All rules, the custom texture pack and story are included in the download

*If you want really good atmosphere then use a mod that lets handheld and/or dropped torches emit light as well.
*Also if you can in any way, I suggest disabling creepers or turning off their block destruction, as they can and will ruin your game if they happen to explode in a wrong place.

IMPORTANT: To play this level you must have at least the 1.9 v5 pre-release jar. If you already don't have it then just google it. To turn off the creepers I used zombe's mod pack 1.8, it worked without conflicts.
Also be sure to use the texture pack in the download .zip of this episode.

Suggestions:
The level can be played either solo or on multiplayer
Best experiance is achieved playing solo, the chests mostly contain 2 sets of items, so if you are playing solo just take one set. Also as the new health system is heavily changed by the hunger, you will probably be finishing this with stacks of food, for a bigger challenge you may just take less food with you.

Constructive critisism is very welcome, if I'm going to make more maps like this I want your feedback to make them more enjoyable for everyone. Also If someone has any good ideas or wants to help me you are more than welcome, just send me a personal message. As making everything for the map (the map itself, texture pack, whole story etc.) takes lots of time, some things may be a bit unpolished. Thanks for reading through all of this, hope you enjoy the game! ;)

Installation

Drop the "Calmere MA Episode II" folder in your .minecraft saves folder

Put the texture pack .zip in your .minecraft texture packs folder (DO NOT UNPACK IT)

You can access your .minecraft folder by opening your appdata folder. (Start menu -> Run -> Type in "%appdata%" -> .minecraft folder should be there)

Thanks! There will be a part three and possibly part 4, but I wouldn't want to rush with them as that would probably make them quite similar and boring. I fear that with all the rushing to finish this one it might not be as good as the first one, but that's for you to decide.

The First one was my favorite map of all time. The second one is good, but not as good as the first. I like how you get to travel to the site of the original map, and I also like the parkour in the map, although you may have used it a bit too much for my tastes.

I put the calmere nightmare 2 folder into the saves folder and that didn't work so i put the thing that the folder was in into the saves folder and it still didn't work! Only the Survival Islands work for me!

*Spoiler Warning* First Map.

Great Map. After I completed it I just searched for the apartment from the first map found it eventually, nice job with that. Can't wait for part 3.

Just wanted to say that Episode III is almost ready, but as this one will be a shorter episode with less story and more action I will not release it just yet (It does explain the overall story a bit more), I would like to get as much of Ep IV done before that, so I could maintain the "1 episode a month" release speed.

I also have ideas for episode V and VI, but the main "Calmere" story ends with Ep V. As the christmas brake is coming up I will hopefully have time to release Ep IV in time but no promises for Ep V yet as it will be the largest map so far in the series.

Hey! a bit of advice to publicise this map, I have done a series of maps as well, and it was easier to manage the two maps when i put them on the same forum post, just change the name of one and then copy/paste the other one in! It makes it easier and cleaner i think too :)

Thanks for the suggestion, I was thinking about making a topic with short descriptions, previews and links for the maps, but ATM it's not an issue IMO. ;)

Yes I did exactly what people tell me I put the Calmere Nightmare II folder (inside of desktop folder) into the saves folder. sometimes I need to enter and exit a game for it to work but it wont work for this or episode I. :(

Can you make a tutorial of how to unpack these cause I don't know if you do it differently then the rest and there are no videos on how to do it.
