To be honest, other than the stability of 1.0.0, The full release is deeply disappointing, as there are no changes from Release Candidate 2/1.9 prerelease to the Full release. Also, anyone remember Alpha? Those were the days. Hell, I remember when minecraft had tree's first put in.

I voted 1.7... Minecraft was at its best IMO.

And yeah I am dissapointed with 1.0.0 but not because nothing changed from the pre releases but because 3 months ago I thought the game would be alot more improved and polished than this.

The release candidate was the full release. It was just a last minute check for bugs.

Why did you think it was called the release candidate? It was a candidate for the full release. Since it was the last candidate before the release, it is literally supposed to be the same.

Again, it's in the very name of the release candidate: It was supposed to be just like the release.

Even then, Release Candidate

was just bugfixes for 1.9 pre 6.

Even then, the 1.9 prereleases were widely known to be the same thing as 1.0 for almost a month before the actual release.

It's true, you can hate what the game has become, but don't hate that it didn't change from a Release Candidate that was released a few days before the full release...Also don't blame only bug fixes being done after a code freeze. If you're going to criticize, learn how game development works and then learn how Mojang works (a small indie game developer, not a large AAA or even AA developer).
Damn, every game is a fantasy rpg...

Are you fucking joking? ARE YOU FUCKING JOKING.
The release candidate was intended to be the same as 1.0! THAT WAS THE POINT OF IT.
Mojang released a final 'pre release' which they said was pretty much 1.0, so they named it Release Candidate. They didn't really have time to change it much.
You sound like the type that would complain that 1.0 was nothing more than 1.9 >_<
YOU ARE THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT SHOULD NEVER BE GIVEN THE RIGHT TO BUG-TEST FUTURE UPDATES

Why can I not select 1.0.0 in the poll?

Yeah. Almost as if they were a prerelease or something.

Cripes, I swear to god the minecraft fanbase can be the biggest whiny bunch of entitled assholes. They add a feature, people bitch about game balance. They add a bug by accident, people accuse them of being lazy fucks. They remove that bug in the next version, people bitch that they had built mechanisms around that bug. People ask for more interesting mobs with unique abilities. They add more interesting mobs with unique abilities, and people complain that those mobs are destroying their work using that new unique ability. So they nerf that ability, and people complain that the mob is stupid now. People complain that the ores don't have enough purposes, and then suggest that they add more. People complain about biomes being too small, so they make them bigger, and people complain that the biomes are too big and the landforms aren't as "epic" (as if that is even quantifiable). People complain that they are spending too much time on new features and not enough time fixing bugs. They code freeze and release a few fixes, and people start bitching that they aren't releasing enough content. Make up your fucking mind. All the while, they complain that Mojang isn't listening the the "community" by which they actually mean Mojang isn't listening to their personal half-baked ideas.

It's no fucking wonder the Dev steam stays away from these forums. Any actual useful information is drowned out by the noise from people with a phd in being pretentious douchebags.

Well people all have their own opinions on this update, it seems.
I mean, there are downgraded servers out there and if you REALLY do detest 1.0.0 you could just downgrade your minecraft.jar to whatever you desire. (Legally of course) and find a nostalgic server. That's one of the best parts about minecraft, you can do what you want to your game files and people play all different versions of servers, you just gotta find the right ones!

You know, I could say the same thing about you pancake.

you are whining about how nothing changed between the release candidate and the full version.

The release candidate WAS the full version, just not put out yet. You obvious have NO idea what Beta testing is. You were playing the Beta test of a game before now. Learn to understand this fact or GTFO.

From all the random stuff such as "omgomgmgmog da gamee suk noww!!1"

Isn't true, same exact game, but new things.
Some might be disappointed by these things, but I was somewhat.
Anyways to my point, I think they should have stopped at 1.3
Right as wolves were released, just stop right there.

Pistons? No..
Ender Dragons? No thanks..
Nether Ruins? OK, but not what we wanted..still no reason to explore..
Snow Golems? Ok what the heck.
Silverfish? FKEOFKSDKFLSDKG
Endermen? Creepy, even in multiplayer..*shivers*
New chests?
Strongholds?
ABANDOD MINESHAFTS?!

My point is, 1.3 was at it's best.
Wolves ftw :_:
Did you care?
