I have some sheep on my farm, but after shearing them they never seem to grow their wool back. Is this a bug or are sheep supposed to be one shear? That would really suck, since they not give food either. No real point in farming them.

Same, its a little annoying having to knock off bunches of my sheep just to get new wool.

First sheep are annoying to get to a farm pen already. Then you better be careful of wolves since I had 2 of them killed off by a wolf on the way to the farm.

I finally get others safe and sound only to sheer them and breed them and 3 hours of playing later still have naked sheep.

I thought this was already changed to be honest. Right now it really is a bit pointless.

Notch is too busy swimming in the pool of money he got from minecon, give the man a break, jesus.

The few bucks from MineCon are only a little addition to the 33,000,000 USD income he already had from selling the alphas and betas.

Oh, and i guess Jeb will implement the regrowing wool in a few versions. Maybe 1.0.5 or so :)

I really do hope this gets added/changed as well. We do a lot of building and decorating with colored wool and this system makes getting wool a pain in the ass. We gave up on sheep and raid mineshafts for the cobwebs now.

I love how the fanboys jump in to defend Notch but won't say jack shit about a feature that was perfectly fine way back, got bugged and hasn't been fixed in over a year. And it's probably a super easy fix at that, and they still won't do it.

I was wondering the same thing. I hope when they finally do regrow, they regrow the color they were before being sheared.

No no, you misunderstand! He was talking about the money from the Roulette tables, Texas Strip Poker and Massages that were available in the Nether-Room. Best Convention ever! Or wait, was that the Adult video convention in Vegas I'm remembering? ;)

Sheep not regrowing wool has been a glaring omission for far too long now.  If you want a large quantity of wool, it's a slaughterfest if you don't want to be overrun with bald, and largely useless, sheep.
You can't have everything... For a start, where would you put it?

I know how to copy and paste the code where it was working into the area where it isn't working.
I just don't have the source code for it.
