I'll admit it. When I first played Minecraft, I played from a friends account for a couple days. But those couple days were the reason I got the game. Without it, I wouldn't realize how fun the game actually is, and I don't think I would have bought the game in the first place. So I was thinking that people should have a free trial for about 2 days, and they can play the game and figure out if they like it or not. I feel that Minecraft would have more people buying the game if there was a 2 day free trial.

do you mean illegally? or the PC gamer demo.
If you download the game icon and load it then hit play....it will say it could not connect. Then just say play offline and you can play for free on single player =| its an option. There is nothing preventing you from downloading the game or playing it offline so its not illegal. Its just free singleplayer. What we are paying for is the option of playing online with other people.
Notch doesnt prevent people from downloading the game and playing for free because if they like it enough (which most do because its frigging addicting) they'll want to play multiplayer.
download here > http://www.minecraft.net/download no hoops to jump through or anything. Just go to minecraft.net and hit download, and play.
