Alright, so I've decided that I want my 12th birthday to be Minecraft themed. But I can't think of any ideas. I mean, I thought of some, but they're not the best. Any suggestions you may have would be appreciated, but keep in mind that I'm female and can't do any awesome guy crap ;P

Ideas I've already thought of:

-Creeper or Ghast pinata
-Brownies or fudge with green frosting on top to look like, dirt blocks
-Cardboard boxes painted to look like chests for goodie bags OR people could paint/color their own goodie bag...err, block
-People create mod heads Cardboard bokes with faces on themmm

That's about it :I

Please don't suggest cake, I feel that alot of people have done that and I want to be original. Thanks :3

Please get suggestions in as soon as possible, the party will probably be sometime after December 17th!!

You've definitely got to have the minecraft cake, just make a cake at home with some cake mix and decorate it with white and red icing. Creeper pinata would be a great idea too. You could also have papercraft blocks, or have a party activity where everybody creates blocks.

Lots of people have already done Minecraft cakes if you need pictures of that. dA has a ton. I kinda want the grass block one as my 18th birthday cake.

I'd do some papercraft blocks and fill them with little toys and candy for goodie blocks too.

As for the papercraft blocks: This got some ideas in my head And same with the party activity where everyone creates blocks. Now I need a ton of cardboard boxes XD

Dirt Blocks: Brownies stacked and cut into cubes, chocolate frosting on the outside, unsweetened coco powder for the soil effect, and dessicated coconut coloured with green food colouring for the grass.

Actually, a minecraft cake is pretty obligatory. A cake for a party is pretty standard, and if you are going to have a minecraft themed party, why NOT have that extend to the cake.

I know, right? You NEED the cake to be a part of your theme, it's not a birthday party without a cake, haha. And then add in extra things like cupcakes.

I'd decorate with colored boxes too, like gray and then maybe paint on some aqua/light blue parts. I already painted one box like coal and set it by the stove (it's not working, coal's fuel for it XD).

I saw someone with a creeper costume on Halloween, that was pretty funny. You might be able to think of party games with that. Maybe Moon Monsters and if the creeper person gets within a foot of you for more than 3 seconds, you're blown up.


With 16 million players, there's really nothing "original" left. But you're original when you stop trying to be original anyway, so it doesn't matter if other people have done it, because yours will always be a little different unless you seriously copy and paste theirs.

While yes, cake is important to any birthday party, if I was going to impliment a minecraft cake, it would have to be vanilla. And me, being a picky eater, only eat chocolate cake D:

Original is almost always possible when it comes to minecraft. You can do anything. Original means it hasn't been done yet, or in a certain fashion, at least. Have you ever seen a giant flying purple elephant made in Minecraft? That's pretty much as original as it gets.

You definatly got some good ideas, I want my Birthday to be Minecraft themed to.  I'd go with the Ghast Pinata, and the Minecraft cake.  I would print some PaperCraft figures for the guest to make.  As well as the chest goodie bags!  Some ideas I came up with.

Funny, I was planning on having my 12th birthday be minecraft . I like all these ideas. I was thinking maybe opening an LAN server and actually playing minecraft, but also this kind of stuff.
