IDEA! How about a mod that allows you to go back to the beginning of your world with a portal.




When you start your world the game should save a copy of that seed. Then once you've progressed far enough you can go back to the beginning, but with everything in your original world. So you can go back and forward, and reclaim diamonds and treasures in the world that you already have. You could make special blocks like this:

  
   = Fuel intake portal frame
  

But you would need the ETERNAL fuel source:


       = Eternal Fuel Source
    

Of course those are buckets of lava not real lava. Each of them would be put into the Fuel intake portal frame thingy and then YOUR OFF! And once you've set up your house in both worlds, block by block your constantly zipping back and forth as you please.

ADVENTURE AWAITS!


(incase you didn't get that heres the fast version: theres a thing that makes you go back in time,  but not really because you wont be there its just the world with a way back to what you had before, like a connection between two worlds so you can transfer items)

But if you went back in time and changed things wouldn't they still be there "changed" in the present? o_O

thats pretty simple in theory... because the nether and the end are worlds... you just need to mod it to make a new world with identical seed to the normal world

By altering the past u create a different time-line then the one u came from, thus traveling back in time is useless if ur objective is to change the future wich u cam form.

that was kinda the point. cause there's that guy who is all OH GO TO THE PAST AND RECORD EVERYTHING YOU DID. this is a much simpler way of making it.

There's already a mod that lets you travel back to the Jurassic time period.  Hannah from the Yogscast did a review on it. (Hint : they didn't like it very much )

if you go back in time anything that was in the present you have already done there fore you would require the game to know what you have done in the past before it can make the present YAY! paradox

thats not the point I'm saying make the same world but as if you've never been there. so you can recollect all the ores and double your intake.

yeah pretty much, but not parallel, just the same without you,but with you at the same time. kinda hard to explain. think of it this way. Your the only human. its like coming out of a portal to your spawn point as if you just generated the world. but with a way back

what he wants is to get more ore in familiar places.  i think there's already a mod that makes ore regrow, cant think of it right now though

yes a parallel universe where do never existed... except you now do because  you have gone to it ... yes its possible
you can do it easy on servers... not sure how hard for single player tho

ill maybe try it later (if i can be bothered that is )
