Hello everyone! I'm Kingjimi1, and I'd like to inform you about using Cheat Engine 6.1(or whatever Cheat Engine version you have, any version works) in your single player Minecraft world, with total ease! Cheat Engine cannot be used in multiplayer worlds, because Cheat Engine only changes the Minecraft on your computer. I'm not sure if you can be host and change values like I'm about to tell you, but you can spawn items in anyways, why would you bother? So, here's a walkthrough on how to change the amount of something you have! [You must download Cheat Engine, and I'll leave a link at the bottom for you guys. No, this isn't a link to a porn website or a trojan, and if you get a virus, worm, trojan, whatever; it's not my fault!]

1. Open up your Cheat Engine.
2. Open up your Minecraft. (These top 2 are interchangeable, no specific order needed)
3. Go to your Minecraft world, and acquire 4 of anything. This could be 4 TNT, 4 diamonds, 4 dirt, or 4 seeds. Move the material to your quick bar, where you can easily select the material on your bar on the lower part of your screen using the numbers at the top of your key board. This next part is VERY important, so read carefully!
4. Pause Minecraft, go to your Cheat Engine. At the top left below the File Edit Table Help bar, there will be a little task bar unique to Cheat Engine, next to a long progress bar. It has a little computer symbol, an open file folder, and a floppy disk button. Click on the computer button, and you'll see a list come up. This list is full of .exe's (for you programmers, executables) and you'll want to find an .exe called javaw.exe . Look at the right hand side, and you'll see it somewhere at the bottom. Don't worry about the bit of numbers and letters that precede javaw.exe . Select javaw.exe and open it up. You'll notice that above the progress bar at the top, is your executable, javaw.exe.
5. Now, type in your 4 (or the number of diamond/TNT/dirt/etc; into the value bar). The value bar is the big white bar is the middle of the screen.
6. Hit first scan. (above the value bar). This scans the entire Minecraft program for everything that has the value, or amount, of 4. There will be a blue loading bar and once it finishes, go to step 7.
7. You will get a MASSIVE list to the lefthand side of your Cheat Engine screen. You cannot easily pick out the address for your specific material. So, we have to change the value of the material by throwing the diamonds or TNT or whatever on the floor by pressing Q (or whatever key you use to throw items on the floor in Minecraft, consult the options -> controls if you don't know), go back to Minecraft, and do this. So, now you have 3 diamonds or whatever your changing. Don't pick up your items until you've finished this entire procedure!
8. Go back to your Cheat Engine, erase the 4 in the value box, type in 3 in it's place, and hit NEXT SCAN. Hit next scan or you'll have to repeat the process of scanning for your 4. (Steps 5 and 6). This scans the game for values that changed from a 4 to a 3. You'll now have hundreds of addresses, still very hard to determine.
9. So now, go back to your Minecraft, and drop one more material, so you have 2. Again, don't pick up the items!
10. Go back to your Cheat Engine, and again, erase the 3, and type a 2 in it's place. Now hit next scan. MAKE SURE TO HIT NEXT SCAN
11. Hopefully, you'll now have one address in the left hand side, and double click it. If you do not, follow these next steps. If you DO have one address, proceed to step 13.
12. Pick up your items, so you now have 4. Go to the Cheat Engine, and look in the list at the left hand of the screen,  and look for an address with the value of 4, double click it. Now you're golden, proceed. {If you have NO addresses left and the box is blank, go back and redo this entire thing  :( . Sorry, this sometimes happens, as Cheat Engine, like Minecraft, is still in beta.}
13. Your address is now in the bottom box. Double click the value number and change it to however many diamonds/TNT/etc you'd like (my favorite is 512, it's 64*8). If a box comes up with a drop down box and the highlighted thing is 4 bytes, click cancel, this isn't what you want. Hit okay, and go back to Minecraft. You have lots now! Congrats on finishing!  :)

I hope you found my walk through very easy and helpful, if you're STILL having problems, send me a quick message or a comment, if not, leave a happy comment anyways, and have fun in Minecraft!

Edit: This tutorial works for all versions of Cheat Engine and Minecraft.

Yes, it is your fault. You will suffer the consequences for what you post. Not me, not Notch, not anyone else.

I meant that the viruses wouldn't be coming from that website.

Easier, correct, but I also use Cheat Engine for other programming, it doesn't just do address extracting.

Irrelevant.
When you post, it's like an unspoken contract that your post obeys the rules and doesn't harm anyone or their computer.
By posting that website, you are validating that this website will not harm anyone/their computer. This means that people can, and will, blame you for any virus or inappropriate content that the website holds.

If you want to get absolutely technical about it, yes, I'm posting third party tools, and yes, I do take responsibility if they obtain viruses or other harmful soft ware. There, happy?

Yes, I am extremely happy that someone decided to take responsibility for their actions for once. :Sheep:

Welcome @moopy. I saw a bunch of videos on Youtube that were people not correctly explaining it correctly, so I thought I should explain a little better for people  :D

CE isn't a virus I used to use it years ago when it was in version 1.1

But as said before, this is a waste of time. It is MUCH easier to just install TMI or SinglePlayer Commands.

LoL, i cant believe people actually thought cheat engine is a virus, but whatever, the point is there is an easier way to "hack" items/blocks than using cheat engine, things such as tmi, creative, invedit are just easier and much more convenient

I agree, TMI or Single Player Commands is easier, however, if you'd like just a vanilla Minecraft, I recommend.

What's the point when you have got TMI, NEI, Invedit, Creative mode?
