Fixes the strange water physics in large bodies of water which makes underwater work in Minecraft so painful. By making water spread over other water source blocks and making unsupported water source blocks fall it prevents "holes" from appearing in the depths of a pool or from forming "whirlpools" on the surface.
Anyway, that's why I made it but everyone seems to like watching water and lava fall from great heights :smile.gif:
Skip to 1:30 for falling liquids :smile.gif:
Mod works in 1.8.1 and 1.9pre5. Download from mediafire.
Is this incompatible with any mods? And does this change physics for all liquids (ie. oil)?

It also happens to allow neat falling water and lava effects and, for the dedicated, lava cannons!
The mod is deliberately minimal in the code it changes so should be compatible with anything which doesn't touch the same two files (falling sand and flowing liquid).
Lava cannons!

I noticed that mods like FiniteLiquid (sorry for posting "competition in your thread) aren't compatible with mods like Buildcraft that add oil.. Do you know if your mod would have any compatibility issues with mods that add other liquids such as oil? I would love to use this, but I simply cannot live without BC/IC2/RP2 :dry.gif:
Edit: And; for that matter, if it is compatible with other liquids, would it mess up the oil "geysers" that spawn vertical columns of oil? This is very handy for finding large deposits, and if this breaks that aspect, it could also be problematic imo.
Only problem with this mod is that areas where there are caves touching the bottom of the lake/ocean, it causes holes to form above that spot. I have no clue how to go about fixing that, but as I frequently use an airship to fly over lakes/oceans, but only rarely build underwater, I'll have to not use this until that problem is fixed.
Great mod, and I hope the problem can be fixed. All the solutions I've thought up lead to the possibility of accidentally flooding an entire world.

To stop the purists from bitching, you may consider making it so that water blocks only fill where there are 2 or more source blocks on at least one side of the perimeter in question. This would allow for a degree of wonky contraption building while still keeping the real spirit of this mod in tact. From what I'm reading, it looks like most of the nay-sayers are worried about their little odd things they built using water being broken. I'll attempt to provide an ASCII diagram of the concept I propose.

Finite Liquid isn't compatible with Buildcraft (oil).. This; as far as i can tell, is.
