change arrow door etc sound to normal?

i really hate tis new sound and wanted to ask , how i can change the sounds to the old one?
i had a mc 1.7.3 folder and used the sounds for 1.9 pre 5 but it didnt work
pls help me , i cant play with these sounds

me too please someone give us a solution to play normal minecraft not this strange shit.

It's the resources folder in minecraft, not minecraft.jar

I would really like to see the option to change the sounds back the way they were, or to leave them as is. Quite frankly, I don't like the new sounds either. You can barely hear arrows being shot any more, which makes it more difficult to locate a skeleton in a dark cave.  I also don't like the new sounds for doors and chests. Plus the cow idle sounds seem to be cut off (though this may be a good thing if there are several nearby - they are the loudest mobs in the overworld, IMO.)

And the explosion sounds were better the way they were before.

you force update, find the sound files in the resources folder you want to keep , copy them, paste somewhere else, re-install RC2, paste the old sound files in. with the same names it should work

EDIT: you might have to do something with paulscode, or delete certain folders or something

no unfortuantely that doesnt work either just replacing them doesnt work i tried the new sounds are very annoying ill reply if i know
