I made my self a custom texture pack and it doesnt show up on texture packs menu (i have succesfully installed downloaded texturepacks)
so am i missing some files* or what?
*i have these files in my texture pack folder

art
enviroment
font
gui
item
misc
mob
terrain
title
pack**
pack**
particles**
terrain**
**not a folder
That problem was it was .rar insted of .zip now i fixed it but i cant see any modified textures or the picture of my texture pack, so whats wrong?
i would be happy if someone could help

make sure your texture pack is a .zip

Well that sort of helped but now i cant see any modified textures when i play mc, alltouhgt i modified them, should i try modify them again or what?

Have you -
Put the zip file in the texturepack folder?
Selected the texture pack in the title menu? (Mods and Texture Packs)
~Also you don't have to have all the files in the texture pack. The ones you don't replace are set to the default textures, (only works for missing files, if you don't have a part of the file filled in, the texture will show up as nothing.)
Have you tried patching your Minecraft with the latest version of MCPATCHER?
