it would be cool to add something like this
when you are mining with a wooden pickaxe,you hit iron,and you hit it with wooden pickaxe it changes to stone pickaxe.
or you mining with stone pickaxe find diamonds and you have a iron pickaxe in your inventory,it changes to the iron one and mines.
nice mod

It already sort of does that. It mines smooth stone with a stone pick and then will switch to iron if you hit gold/diamond/whatever.

Just use it and report any bugs. You can test it w/o being an "official tester"

hi i just tried this mod out and it is very cool i do like it however when i try to cut down a tree for some reason when i have the axe in hand it switches to the sword to cut down the tree is there a way to fix this becuase i know an axe can cut down a tree way fast then a sword

The axe must be in your quickbar, I mean the 9 items you can use. Also, with the new version, It will switch to an axe as you are mining the tree and switch back when you are done. This means that you might not see yourself using an axe.

New version! 0.7.1 Makes a few more relatively weak blocks like glass or cactus sword items again. It also makes it so you will always try to switch away from any tool that takes damage when you are mining very weak blocks like leaves or torches.

the thing is i had the axe in my hand i was using it but it switched to the sword when ever i would try to cut down the tree so it was in my hot bar plus in my hand everything else switched fine that was the only problem i seen

I don't see this at all in the newest version, 0.7.1. Could you maybe send me a video of it happening? Thanx.

i just got 0.7.1 i had 0.7.0 but i still have the same problem and i wish i could make a video for you i just dont have anything to record a video if you want to add me on skype and share screen with me as im minecraft to show you that way i would gladly do that but i dont know any other way to show you other then that

i found the problem for some reason this mod plus DAFTPVF'S Treecapitator mod dont want to work together it makes me switch to the sword idk if you want the link to his page to check out the mod or not but ill give you the link here http://www.minecraft...-daftpvfs-mods/ i can edit it to take it off if you want me to

I figured out the problem, and now 0.7.2 should fix this.

Trying to dig gravel, it's using the sword, so i stop digging and place the sword in inventory, now tryng again with selector directly on shovel (just to be sure), switchs to cobblestone, and when the block is succesfully mined, this :

Found out why, one of my mods uses new blocks for dirt, gravel etc .... and your mod doesnt know it, any way to fix this ?

Sorry, but it is much easier to try to figure out your problem if you use correct spelling and punctuation.

Also, if you want me to try to debug it, please start from a fresh copy, and see if it glitches. Then find out which mod conflicts, because it is not my job to go through more than 10 mods one at a time, none of which I use.

Anyway, I fixed the crash but not the fact that it switches to a sword on gravel. This means I want to see the debug output. Grab a debug copy of the mod here: http://www.mediafire...84dtxk8rw24p4u6 Give me the debug output when you mine a normal block and when you mine gravel, as well as when you attack a mob such as a pig.

NOTE: You are using some mods from 1.7.3. DON'T DO THIS IN 1.8.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I said I found the problem : one of the mods is replacing dirt and gravel with custom ones, like that treecapitator thing i think, and your mod doesnt know it.

I didn't, I'm not an idiot, i even code mods, it's just that the ModLoaderMP I have has a wrong version name, but i can assure you it's a 1.8.1 mod :)

Well, could you add a config file to specify custom block IDs, and custom tool IDs to use with (e.g. mods)

One thing that might fix this is that I changed it to completely operate off block IDs and not objects such as Block.gravel. Could you please test this for me? I don't know which mod conflicts and I'm not going to spend hours finding out.

Also i've noticed something else, and I think this is your mod's fault :
When the mod is not enabled, i have a cobblestone in hand, destroying a dirt with it, and while i'm destroying it, i'm switching to free hand using a number key.
When the block is destroyed it switches back to the cobblestone.

TL;DR : The "switch back to what i was using" is active even with your mod disabled.
