Blaze Tools Mod [MC 1.2.5]
SSP Client requires: ModLoader.
If you have problems with the adf.ly links, check the old downloads section at the bottom of this page. [1.2.5 SSP Client]Mediafire (Adf.ly) Info and Changelog:
This is a small mod, that i hope will make tool and armor modding easier.
You can easily with only one line of code add recipe and name (also texture if you want to) for each of the 5 basic tools.
But the real advantage of this is if you want to add a whole set of tools, with one line of code, you can add all recipes and visualnames for a whole set of tools, and textures if you want too.
First some short info (more to come):
What you can use this for:
Add recipe and name for one tool (Tools: Sword, Spade, Pickaxe, Axe, Hoe, Paxel, Battleaxe, Drill. NB: The code is different from the 5 basics to the 3 specials)
Add recipe, name and texture for one tool (Tools: Same as above).
Add recipe and name for a whole set of tools (Toolsets: [Sword, Spade, Pickaxe, Axe, Hoe], [Sword, Spade, Pickaxe, Axe, Hoe, Paxel, Battleaxe], [Sword, Spade, Pickaxe, Axe, Hoe, Drill])
Add recipe, name and texture for a whole set of tools (Toolsets: Same as above).
Add recipe and name for one piece of armor (Armor: Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings and Boots).
Add recipe, name and texture for one piece of armor (Armor: Same as above).
Add recipe and name for a whole set of armor (Armorset: [Helmet, Chestplate, Leggigns, Boots]).
Add recipe, name and texture for a whole set of armor (Armorset: Same as above).
Add a new EnumToolMaterial
Add a new EnumArmorMaterial
Make/Edit a properties file
Add/Get properties from a properties file
How to use:
To add a tool, write "FlannLoader.addTool(the-tool's-code-name, "Type of tool", Item/Block-the-tool-is-made-of, "visualname");" inside the load() method
Example:
To add a set of tools, write: "FlannLoader.addSet(sword-code-name, spade-code-name, pickaxe-code-name, axe-code-name, hoe-code-name, Item/Block-the-tool-is-made-of, "visualname (first part)");" inside the load() method
Example:
To add a new piece of armor, write "FlannLoader.addArmor(the-armor's-code-name, "Type of armor piece", Item/Block-the-armor-is-made-of, "visualname");" inside the load() method
Example:
To add a set of armor, just write "FlannLoader.addSet(helmet-code-name, plate-code-name, legs-code-name, boots-code-name, Item/Block-the-armor-is-made-of, "visualname (first part)");" inside the load() method
Example:
NB: How to add special toolsets, paxel/battleaxe/drill, EnumToolMaterial, EnumArmorMaterial, Get/Add properties and Make/Change a properties file comes later...
How to "install":
Since i want this to be easy to use, this is only a source download.
Modders, download this and use it in your mods as you want (please don't edit, better just tell me, and i will add/remove/improve this),
when releasing please just put the class files with your mod, so people don't have to download multiple things... (Get class files when reobfuscating (MCP))
If you have problems with the adf.ly links, check the old downloads section at the bottom of this page.
Video:
Thanks to xFr0stByt3x (mincraftistoo_pro)
BTW: I have to point out a failure in this video, you can make the paxel with the recipe in this movie, or the way he wanted it, pickaxe-axe-shovel(he used shovel-axe-pickaxe)
The Obsidian and Netherrack tool sets are made like normal tools, but with Obsidian and Netherrack.
The Redstone tool sets are made like normal tools, but with Redstone ingots.
Redstone Ingot recipe:
Before you ask/comment: Yes I know there is a paxel mod already, but i tried modding, and I see the mod have not been updated for 1.8.1, so I did it (PS: I made this mod BEFORE I noticed it was already another one.)
If i make a video for your mod will you post it on the main post?
Yea, I think so, that wouldn't be a problem...
Can you send me link in PM?
BTW: I just tested my self on that creeper apocalypse thing, and I got this:
Looks like we both could survive it for some time :tongue.gif:
----------------------------------------------------
I am sorry to tell everyone that the v3 has to wait, got BIG problems with the multiplayer part, sorry guys.
The good news, when v3 comes, it will add netherrack and obsidian tools, including paxels :smile.gif:
Looks cool(ish) :smile.gif: The problem is that it is unoriginal and overdone too many times, but nonetheless a nice mod for your first time. :biggrin.gif: Maybe consider changing the texture a bit? To make it look less like the first paxel that someone textured and everyone copied.

I am best at coding, not graphic, my friend was supposed to do the textures, so it will be improved! :biggrin.gif: But thanks for the reply :smile.gif: Diamonds to you :tongue.gif:
yea but you take 3 diamond tools with 1561 and fuse them into 1 with only 1561, i think you should make it at least 2x the power
Some of the point is that the normal paxels use the normal materials, and that you can make them to save space in your inventory...
The paxels are mostly to save space in inventory and to not have to change tool if you find gravel beneath the ground or something...
I might think on for a feature update, but not for now...
Im confuzed... So in order to use this mod on my server, I need ro download the modloader client? What? Or do I have to require all of my users to download it?
Im confuzed... So in order to use this mod on my server, I need ro download the modloader client? What? Or do I have to require all of my users to download it?
On the server you will need two things:
1. Server version of this mod
2. ModLoaderMp download: ModLoaderMp (server version)
On the client you will need these three things:
1. Client version of this mod (Multiplayer)
2. ModLoader download: ModLoader
3. ModLoaderMp download: ModLoaderMp (client version)
I guess the confusion was my failure in the download server spoiler, where I had written: requires modloadermp(client version), this has now been fixed so...
Really cool mod if i new how people post pix of diamonds i'd give you a few :smile.gif: I love the netherrack idea it actually give a use to netherrack. Ive also never been able to find a stand-alone paxel mod. I hope its compatible with minecraft-forge :smile.gif: if this is your first mod then great work if not still great work you hav helped alot.
Good mod. How did you make so every paxel is 3 tools at once?
BTW, None can say that they have copyright on this or something like that. Ive been seeing obs tools since 1.5
BTW2, Anything special you need to do to make a multiplyer version of the mod?
Thanks ottoguy :smile.gif:
Answers to your questions:

2. No surprise :wink.gif:
3. Follow Flan's tutorial: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/352121-smp-mods-modloadermp-modding-310511/ it is not hard :smile.gif:

I and one of my friends are planning to make a mod with a whole lot of new tools, including paxels, but I actually published this of a few reasons:
1. I made it before i knew it existed
2. The other i found where outdated

Example:
To add a tool with texture, simply just add a string at the end telling minecraft where to find it (location/name)...
Example:
To add a set of tools, write: "FlannLoader.addSet(sword-code-name, spade-code-name, pickaxe-code-name, axe-code-name, hoe-code-name, Item/Block-the-tool-is-made-of, "visualname (first part)");" inside the load() method
Example:
To add texture, just add the location and the first part of the name (stonepickaxe.png -> stone)
Example:
To add a new piece of armor, write "FlannLoader.addArmor(the-armor's-code-name, "Type of armor piece", Item/Block-the-armor-is-made-of, "visualname");" inside the load() method
Example:
As with the tools, to add texture, just add a string at the end.
Example:
To add a set of armor, just write "FlannLoader.addSet(helmet-code-name, plate-code-name, legs-code-name, boots-code-name, Item/Block-the-armor-is-made-of, "visualname (first part)");" inside the load() method
Example:
And to add texture, still just add a string at the end with the location and first part of texture(stonehelmet.png -> stone)
Example:
NB: How to add special toolsets, paxel/battleaxe/drill, EnumToolMaterial, EnumArmorMaterial, Get/Add properties and Make/Change a properties file comes later...
