This is my first ever tutorial, for this we will be making a TNT cannon!    If you find this helpful, please +1 it.
Suggestions, requests, comments and poll votes are greatly appreciated!

First, you will need an area of flat land approx. 12x6.

Next, make a trench 9 blocks long, with a full block closing one end, and a half block closing the other. (use whatever block you want, i just like the way obsidian looks.)
Posted Image

Next, put some water at the end without the half block. also, make a little row of 4 blocks or so, as shown in the picture
Posted Image

The following picture is pretty self-explanatory.
Posted Image

Now, place a RSD on top of the staircase-thing, and a block on top of it [THIS IS IMPORTANT]
Posted Image

Now just add these 2 blocks, this is important so you don't die in an explosion related accident.
Posted Image

Put some redstone down the staircase, and a block with a button at the bottom.
Posted Image

Put RSD along the side, as shown.
Posted Image

Place a block with button connected to the RSD.
Posted Image

Now, to load and fire it!
Posted Image
Posted Image

Hit this first...
Posted Image

Then immediately turn around and hit this one!
Posted Image

Have fun blowing stuff up!

Here's another one, this time with blue wool, because it has good contrast with the RSD, so you can see it better.

Been a while since I saw a tut for one of these. Nice to see people interested in these cannons though.

If you want to be extra cool, make one with a repeater that will automatically trigger your shot after it triggers the primer :)

I just might do that. shouldn't be too difficult!

Did you forget the water? if tnt goes off in water it doesn't destroy blocks. Or, are you hitting the buttons in the right order? you need to hit the one connected to the water area first, then you have approximately 3 seconds to turn around and hit the other.

way to complicated for a "Basic" cannon
look at mine

9 full repeater is the optimum delay to fire the cannonball

Cool! I agree my cannon is far from basic, but it's basic in comparison to other cannons I make that fire multiple shells and have a charge chamber bigger than my house, lol. I dont usually make auto cannons, so the repeater firing is new to me.
Thanks for the feedback!

Nice design, but you can attain the same result in a much more compact design, and only use one button.
