I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this but I got this computer for my birthday not too long ago and minecraft is still kinda laggy and I can't run major mods. So is this a good computer or not? I didn't do anything to it besides get TF2 and minecraft and other stuff downloaded. No new drives or anything. I also use the HP w19e desktop if it matters. My parents found it at a garage sale for $20 so yeah.
So please reply I would like to know if it is worth it to get a NVIDIA GeForce video card or something that will help me improve my minecraft and other gaming experiences.

It's a good PC, all you need is a new graphics card and that PC should run a lot of games on high settings.
(Except newer games, prolly low-med)

No.
Since its an oem pc and not one you built yourself, it probably has a really shitty psu that cant handle anything higher then say a radeon 6570 or gefore gt 520.
Oh and the athlon II x2 is slow for a gaming pc. Sorry, but if you want to play any decent looking recent games, build something yourself.

It's meh. It's a medium low end PC the way it is right now... You could run most newer games on low settings around 30 fps. Like the post above, just get a new video card and you should be able to run most games around medium or high with alright framerates.
EDIT:
My starter PC was a crappy 300$ compaq, but I put 4gb of high end RAM and got myself an ati radeon 5770 and I can run Crysis 2 on ultra around 40 fps.
The CPU is an AMD Athlon x2 64 4400+.
Each set up is unique, and it takes a while to figure out what you need and what is good.
Well I would love to get a new graphics card... but i'm 13 and not allowed to spend my own money for some reason so anyone know a good graphics card preferably NVIDIA Geforce that is like under $300 that will fit my system? Please add a link!

I would advise against this because the pc itself is very low end and most likely has a 200-300W psu that cannot handle a 300$ GPU, it takes too much power.

Like I said. I AM 13. I WILL NOT SPEND 4,000,000 TO BUILD MY OWN COMPUTER! I was lucky enough to get a computer for my birthday and I definitely won't be able to spend tons of money to buy each component of a computer and build it. That is WAY too much money. Can anyone recommend any other video cards that will at least make MINECRAFT faster?

You do realize it is cheaper to build your own computer, right?

No it's not Genius. You have to buy each component individually which will add up BIG TIME. I have seen a youtube video by leptir1 of him building his "phantom" desktop it racked up like $4,000. I can get a descent gaming computer for cheaper. So once again that is not an option.

Are you... high?
Computer manufacturers mace money by buying parts, assembling them, and charging you twice of what they are worth to turn a profit.

Yes it is, kid.
A great gaming PC will only run you around $700-800 depending on combos and deals. You can go down to $600 for around 20% less performance.
Top of the line PCs are around $1,100 and $1,200, anything more than that and you're adding crap that is either unnecessary or specialist/enthusiast level. Compared to the "Great" PCs though, they only offer around 20-30% more performance.
Building one itself is also not difficult at all, it is literally LEGOs and everything is color coded with unique shapes. It is nearly impossible to screw up if you pay attention.
I'll even go and fetch the parts for you, what is your budget and preferred currency?
Sure... Sure besides I don't even know all the things I need to get, plus windows 7 costs more than the computer itself.
Windows 7 is between Free and $130 depending on which version you get and if you are a student or not (and depending on if you prefer other means). Much, much less than a computer.

Windows 7 is $99...
Anyway, the people at the forums are here to suggest parts for you.

You expect to get a computer for $100? Especially a pre-built? .... :dry.gif:
No I don't, I expect advice to speed up my system. That was the whole point of this thread.
