guys i need help convincing my dad that my minecraft is not pointless or i will be limited to 1 hour of minecraft a week anyone got some suggestions

EDIT: No but actually, if your dad is limiting you, it's probably because he thinks your spending too much time on it. Go outside, do something with him, or someone else. He wants to make sure your not going to be a melon in front of it. If you play on a server with your friends, have your friends say "hi" to your dad in the server, so he realizes that you are socializing.

If your grades are going down, he maybe trying to limit you to get your grades up, which is a good thing he is doing that. Try harder on your homework or show that you are at least trying in school.

Your dad cares about you and wants to make sure your not becoming "anti-social" you may not be, but he doesn't know that until you prove it to him. Trust me I had to go through this with my parents too, so take my advice.

Show them respect, they are your parents.
Take a few weeks not playing much, and then their crazy will be over when they see that you can control yourself.

Say it's good for the mind, to explore and learn how to build.

It exercises the brain. you can create complex circuits and creation to a substance similar to wires.. redstone. There are also circuits e.g AND circuits. I will become a nerd in one week. lemme play moar.. pls dad

The whole reason I play minecraft is for the creativity of it.  Sure it takes skill and a sense of adventure, but at its roots it is an art program like Photoshop or MS Paint.  It just takes more work to create something.

Hi there.

Im a 12 years old boy and i conviced my mother ato buy the game.

1 week later , she gave me permission to create a paypal account with 1 of her credit card.

I havent used money from her credit card , i started an hamachi minecraft server, then with donations i got enough money to buy a 24/7 server.

Now i have 55$ in my paypal account.

Now, the point of minecraft, as i saw in the signature is, i had 5 in Science , do you know why? I was in 7th grade and my exam was about what was beneath earth.

You can find lava, water and some rock called obsidian.

By joing lava with water it results in obsidian.

But in minecraft , the views are beautiful. It wont cause you stress but you will become calm and you will see the sunset, the sun shining.

assuming you're in the northern hemisphere, it's getting into winter now.

video games, especially ones like minecraft, are more mentally stimulating than TV, and going outdoors is unpleasant in the winter.

also, pull up some studies about how LEGOs help stimulate the mind.. minecraft is essentially digital LEGOs.

and most importantly, do other things, interact with your family, etc.

don't be hostile about it, and don't be sneaky about it. just get on your dad's good side.

first guys it's not like i have no life i paly soccer 3 times a week,i skateboard and get good grades in schoolbut my dad just thinks that video games are pointless but i will keep trying and just to make this clear it's 1 HOUR A WEEK NOT 1 HOUR A DAY

and also show him about the geological education part of it.

and remind him about the jobs related to minecraft such as lumberjack and miner.

you have to be careful when you invite your parents to play when my dad started playing minecraft he was hooked for 2 days that was all he really did which got me super annoyed because he had me coming in every 5 minutes so i cant tell him how to craft sticks!!! anyways he only stopped after he realized he hast payed much attention to the stock markets.
