This is SuperMarioCraft, a 16x16 texture pack inspired solely by the game Super Mario World. Nearly everything that isn't a default texture has been taken from this game with only very minor edits.
The goal of this pack is to be, unlike a couple other Mario texture packs...
Consistent to a single Mario game
Kept up-to-date with Minecraft updates
As honest to the game's textures as my standards require
IMPORTANT POINTS
To make use of my water and lava animations, either download MCPatcher and select "HD Textures"; or just use the OptiFine mod, which supports HD textures automatically (fire animation and improved water/lava coming soon!)
Pixel art-friendly wools are now default. To use the original exclamation wools, open the zip with your favourite archive manager and rename terrain.png to something else for safe-keeping. Then rename terrain_altwool.png to terrain.png to make use of the nonstandard wools.
Contributed the Fracktail-inspired Ender Dragon (from Super Paper Mario, but I'm allowed to cheat a little in special circumstances).
Bulletproof6246
Let me steal his idea for redstone delays, which I quickly adapted into my own style.
Ender5234
Suggested the Podoboo for Blazes
Suggested the Rex for Zombies
Other suggestions I'll almost certainly be implementing
Occasional testing of textures to provide a second view.
Mod Support
Spoiler:
Random Mobs
Two creepers: Bob-omb, Yoshi
I expect Aether mod support will be a must, once the pack is finished.

I very much enjoy this texture scheme =) It blends together really well and the colors are extremely neon or too bright. Very well done, I hope this work out very well <3

Thanks guys. Sometime probably tonight I'll upload a relatively incomplete zip so you can check out what I've done so far. The grass/sand/dirt are already complete and even biome-compliant.
I use adf.ly already, but I don't want to make people suffer that until I have the finished product up. It can wait.
You actually make more money with adcraft then with adfly. Also, adfly tends to trick people into downloading virus with pop-ups and the "you need to install this plug-in..."

Hah, I wouldn't know, I haven't seen a single ad or popup from them (or anybody) on account of my Adblock. It's the best thing I've ever done.

Add the video into the post please?
I don't think I can do that yet. A lot of the changes you've seen so far or have made note of are from the Painterly Pack. I used a lot of that as the base so I'd be able to see easily which items are changed and which aren't. If you'd like to do another video once I've fixed more things, I'd be happy to post it.
EDIT: Also, if you could edit the video's title to be super clear that it's a Super Mario World only pack I'd appreciate it a ton. Thanks!
