.) Take a copy of Faithful32pack.zip (your favorite texture pack) file and place it in a new folder by itself.
.) Download Mojang's free Minecrat Texture Ender (introduced with 13w24a as TextureEnder.jar); BTW, Minecraftwiki states that the texture pack has to be "unstiched" which appears to be the case for Faithful32 - unsure about this
.) Double-click to run the TextureEnder.jar file tool in Java (works fine in my Java Windows version 1.7.0_17-b02)
.) Choose the Faithful32pack.zip file you placed in a new folder by itself (back in step 1)
.) Click 'Convert Packs' button in the Texture Ender tool which will create a new folder called "faithful32pack-converted-xxxxxxxxxxx" where xxxxxx's are some number
.) Take and copy the entire "faithfulpack32-converted-xxxxxxx" folder to place it in your Dev app location under \resourcepacks (your profile may be configured differently, but mine is %appdata%\.minecraft\resourcepacks\
.) Start-up the dev Minecraft Launcher (Play) and in-game options choose Options -> Resource Packs -> faithful32pack-converted
