You should add "Photoshop CS2" Which is a free program, and i think is pretty good.

Yeah the whole CS2 is available for free download. It's a complicated story but completely legal!

Could you update the free video editing software list? All the links seem to be to very outdated software, except for a select few.

I'm looking for a free video editor, and I need features such as effects, transistions and PIP. Are there any free, easy to use software out there to fit that need?

I realize you would like something a little more advanced but remember most advanced features are only available in paid software. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Many of the software in that particular list is outdated, yes, but most satisfy basic editing needs some go a little bit beyond that. For PIP (Picture in Picture for those curious) if the software has more than 2 videos tracks you could perhaps put both videos on different tracks on top of each other and then resize the video you want on top.

As for editing the list I've looked around but so far the most advanced ones that are free yet have a nice UI and maybe some advanced features are Windows Movie Maker and VideoSpin.

You could also try DVDVideosoft.com and OpenDisc which is a suite of 50 programs. Some of them for video editing. Links for both of these can be found at the Utilities list.

Hi there! You should add SimpleScreenRecorder to the "Screen Capturing Programs" section. It's a GUI program for Linux (no Windows/Mac) that can record OpenGL like Bandicam and Fraps (meaning you don't end up with the window border or anything). Here's me testing out the program: https://www.youtube....h?v=WDQd03v36os (the video itself is quite boring, but it looks great!).

Edit: Also consider adding Openshot, which I used to edit the video in the link. Actually, it might be better to leave out Openshot since it can be really unstable and crash a lot for many people (I was just lucky when I made my video).

Edit 2: GIMP and Audacity run on Linux too.

This program Overwolf is an in-game program that can be used for social media, recording, and a few other useful tasks. I looked at the Utilities and Screen Recording Software spoilers where it should be, and could not find it. So it would be awesome if you put it on the list so others can see how awesome it is.
