CompBlox 2



This is my first mod

Do you know this? You are mining for diamonds... and everytime, when you find an ore, your inverntory is full of dirt, gravel oder cobblestone?
Now you can compress this (and some other blocks) to save space for the important thigs


What this mod does:
With this Mod you can compress blocks.
Simply put nine blocks into the craftingbench and get an compressed version.
You can craft them back any time, when you need them

This blocks are compressable:
- Clay
- Coal
- Cobblestone
- Dirt
- Glowstone
- Gravel
- Mossstone
- Netherrack
- Obsidian
- Redstone
- Sand
- Slimeballs
- Snow
- Soulsand

Also I have renamed the Iron, Gold, Diamond and Lapis Block to Compressed Iron, Gold, Diamond and Lapis Lazuli
So they fit to the other ones

Annother feature is that, you can craft ClayBlock, Glowstone, Sandstone and SnowBlock back to their source


New in Version 2:
-From now the texture pack LB Photo Realistic is supported
LB Photo Realistic (Look at Supported Mods)

The Compressed Slime Texture is completely make by myself, the rest is mixed up
(Scuttles, thank you that you allow me this )

-I make new, better looking textures
-I tweak the texture names

Installation:
- Install the ModLoader
- Copie all files in minecraft.jar
- start the game and have fun

Important: I have changed the names of the textures, so older versions will not work!

I'm thinking about the next Version...

How shoud I do it with sand?
You can craft 4 sand blocks to 1 sandstone, but not back

I'm thinking how to compress sand?

9 sand blocks are one compressed sand?
Or 4 sand blocks are 1 sandstone and 4 sandstone are one compressed sand

What do you think?

Some compression suggestions could be:
Logs, Planks, Charcoal, Cactus, Sugar Canes, Glass

Addon mod to this one, compressing of other mods items, for example:
IndustrialCraft2:
Coal Dust, Rubber Wood, Rubber

RedPower:
Nikolite, Rubberwood, Basalt Cobblestone, Marble

I see that English isn't your first language, so I've corrected some typos and things that you've made. I'm not trying to be "oh i'm better than you" or anything, it just makes the post look better. This is quite an amazing mod... if Minecraft hadn't updated I would be using it!

Hey when your going to steal someones mod idea...ask the creator first.

My mod has almost the exact same thing just has not been updated. I would appreciate it if would at least change the name so it is not almost the exact same thing as mine.

There are so many similar mods, so I really doubt he stole your idea.
Did you ask all the other creators first?
I've lost count of how many similar mods there are to each idea.

Like Quaksen said, there are so many mod, that compress Blocks...
I saw that someone make a mod, that compress dirt and cobblestone. I search for other, but I don't find any...
So I make this mod to learn the basics of Minecraft modding (With out the idea of stealing someone's mod idea)

...Can you say me where you use the name CompBlox??
